The service was unacceptable. No "hello", or "welcome" or any kind of greeting was offered as we arrived. We seated ourselves and waited a few minutes before the menus were brought to the table.
The man who took our order seemed truly bothered by our questions regarding food. Wrong drink was brought, sides were missing. We have heard from the table behind us about their order mistakes as well. Other guests seated at the surrounding tables were treated with the same coldness as we were.
The food came out after about 30 minutes. No one has stopped by in the meantime. We had to ask for more beverages as the glasses have been standing empty for about 20 minutes.
The food was good - no complaints about the meat, sauces or the sides.
Again, no one came back to check on us or to offer dessert. We decided to go to the bar and ask for the bill. That same man who served our table was pouring drinks at the bar and was bothered again. He offered no smile, no concern, nor did he ask if we liked the food. We left feeling as unwanted intruders. Will not return.

Decided to try this place because the more popular Ochodzita further up the village has become too busy and the service is always very slow as well as the quality of food not being particularly great. I have to say that kopertolka was a nice surprise. It was completely empty when we went inside so the service was excellent, and the food was very tasty. Prices were also very reasonable for the area. Don't expect a fine dining experience of course, but for what it was, excellent home cooked meals and comfortable atmosphere, I can't fault it.

I would strongly recommended this fantastic place to all tourists, skiers and other guests visiting Beskydy and especially Istebna village. This is very nice, small restaurant located in older than 100 years hut with absolutely unique atmosphere, homely decor and very supportive staff. No question, why this restaurant is recommended as the best one in Beskydy area by famous magazine "Podróże". But the most amazing is the food served there. You can choose between different dishes (special menu for kids), regional specialties are also available and I would recommend all of them: kwaśnica (sauerkraut soup), hunter's food, Silesian rolada, pork chop from Istebna etc. are really delicious. Prices also acceptable. Believe this is place worth to visit every time you are there.

Nice place with great staff and good choice of tea and coffee. Beer is also worth of trying. During day, you can visit this place as cafeteria and during evening/night it can be perfect place for your hang out with friends.

My wife and I visited a local friend that lived close by to this restaurant. We decided to eat out and chose this place.
We ordered pizza and wine. It wasn't too busy and we decided to eat outside.
Drinks were good and the pizza although tasty, didn't have a lot of toppings on them and were done quite cheaply.
Even though the food wasn't completely satisfying, it was okay to drink with our wine.
The town is nice and a good place to stop off it passing by.

V hoteli Marlene si rozhodne nikto nemôže sťažovať na nedostatok reštauračných kapacít. Reštaurácia samotná je priestranná a estetická, je verným pokračovaním štýlovosti celého hotela. A v prípade priaznivého počasia sú kapacity reštaurácie rozšíriteľné o útulnú prestrešenú terasu.
Samotnú stravu reštaurácie som mal možnosť spoznávať tri dni a konštatujem, že tu skutočne platí tvrdenie, podľa ktorého človek stravu požíva nie len žalúdkom, ale i očami. Estetika úpravy jedál je tu zväčša malým umeleckým dielom. Boli mi tu napríklad podané bryndzové halušky, zabalené do akéhosi bochníčka zo zapečených slaninových plátkov. Fantázia! Pokým som to nezačal konzumovať, nedovolil by som si tvrdiť, že sú to halušky ...
Jedlá z mäsa sú pripravované šetrnými postupmi tak, aby sa v maximálnom rozsahu zachovala pôvodná chuť mäsa. A akési zapečené prekladané plátky zemiakov ku kuraciemu steaku boli skutočnou delikatesou. S takým niečím som sa stretol prvý raz v živote. Slovom - strava mimoriadne chutná.
Rýchlosť obskuhy je priamo úmerná počtu hosťí. Keďže nás bolo cca 80, bolo potrebné počas obeda nejakú dobu počkať, čo však bolo celkom pochopiteľné. Avšak ku večeri sme sa už "trúsili" a na jedlo nebolo potrebné čakať. Nápoje ku jedlu je možné si objednať podľa želania - majú prakticky všetko.
Čiže záverom odporúčam všetkým hladošom, aby sa pri svojej ceste cez Oščadnicu zastavili v reštaurácii hotela Marlene. Som presvedčený, že neoľutujú.

Worth every penny, amazing experience. Without a doubt, this was the best meal in this area. The staff were extremely courteous and attentive. Two thirds of the courses were uniquely delicious. Traditional cuisine in a modern version - amazing. An excellent wine selection. Wonderful people - you will definitely remember it! From today our favorite restaurant in Wisla / Istebna.

Kde začať ???
Obsluha asi nemala svoj deň alebo neviem čo sa dialo, lebo bola celkom mimo. Správanie také, ako keby sme vyjednávali cenu kapusty na tržnici a ešte si na prvý raz nezapamätala našu objednávku a prišla sa znova opýtať.
Cena jedla prehnaná. Dokonca aj denné menu mi prišlo pridrahé a pri tom išlo o klasické jedlá typu rezeň, soté alebo cestoviny...porcie úplne normálne (za tú cenu o nič väčšie).
Interiér...taký moderný, ale nesúrodý. Také hala-bala, ale to je len vec vkusu. Niekomu sa takéto prevedenie určite bude páčiť ;)
Celkový dojem z tejto reštaurácie je u mňa taký, že sa prevádzka chce tváriť ako pokroková moderná gastro prevádzka z veľkomesta, ale to je tak všetko, len sa "tvári".
Možno jej ešte dám v budúcnosti šancu.
