Beautiful room, with white glove service.
Food is amazing, extensive wine menus. Beautiful after drinks carts.
I really can’t say enough.
Wear a sports coat, no jeans!
This is a very classy, high end restaurant.
Be prepared to pay big $$$$$ for dinner. Glasses of champagne from $50 usd up.

Wedholms Fisk has been in its current location by Nybrokajen since 1985. Many of the staff, both amongst the pots and pans as well as amongst the tables, have been there since the doors were first thrown open to the first expectant guests. However, this does mean that time has stood still - the kitchen gleams with newly installed top of the range equipment and an inspiration to keep abreast of developments in food and cuisine.
Very friendly professional waiting staff. All requests were accommodated without any friction. Food was delicious and with good presentation. Highly recommendedThank you so much for your kind Words. We hope to see you back with us soon. Kindest regards Hélène and the Staff

Great coffee. Simple menu. Laptops and tablets are banned so a good social atmosphere. Staff speak excellent English. The decor is very white and fresh, compared to Espresso House and most other coffee shops which prefer a much darker scheme.
Great for a quick caffeine hit but would struggle to spend more than 20 mins there.

Mancini came into being out of a desire to present authentic Italian cuisine. Over the years it has developed into a very popular Stockholm restaurant. The menu features genuine Italian dishes such as: fillet of redfish with gambas, green asparagus and potato velouté seasoned with saffron; and juicy tenderised fillet of beef served with salsa verde. Round off the meal with a wonderful pannacotta with yoghurt based cream and chocolate salami.
Seasonal produce shapes the menu, slow-food is there philosophy and its excellent. Dunk the warm country bread in Umbrian, Ligurian and Sicilian olive oils produced exclusively for Mancini. Service and quality is excellent and personal. You’ll have no trouble finding a wine to match your meal; Il Mancini’s list is one of the city’s best.

A new take on Nordic food
A true gastronomic adventure with innovative taste combinations some of which worked better than others. The two pancake courses had a real wow factor as did the langoustine, beetroot and marrow, and initial mushroom consommé. Overall despite some courses working better than others the food scores a ‘five’ but overall rating of 4 reflects very disappointing paired wines. These were over priced at in excess of SEK1000 per person and did not excite in the same way as wine parings have done at similar establishments. A bottle of champagne would have been a better decision.

Had booked table via phone early Monday evening (1800) which I think often is needed. All three opted for the menu together with suggested wines. Food and wine and combinations were wonderful and we thouroughly enjoyed it all. The cauliflower starter (one of us opted for this as alternative in the menu) was wonderful. Atmosphere in the resturant was good. Price per person was about 800 sek (menu + wine package and coffee) - roughly 80 Euro which was well worth it at this resturant.

My wife and I booked Ekstedt after seeing it featured on MasterChef a few years back.
We were both intrigued about the cooking over fire only concept.
All we can say is it is well worth the hype.
They offer either a 4 or 6 course meal with option of matching wine.
Every course was outstanding, with even some of the inbetween courses exceeding the set menu dishes. The only thing I would say is for the price I think they could five slightly bigger portions.
The wine pairings were also excellent with the sommelier not afraid to top up your glass.
Don't make the rookie mistake i did with the digestifs. They are priced per cl. So a Japanese whisky which i thought cost 45krone was in fact 180krone.
Overall the four course meal with matching wine, coffee and whisky + tip came to 3800krone (approx £340) which whilst expensive is well worth it

We serve genuine traditional Swedish food in a cozy atmosphere. We are a family run restaurant near the Royal Palace.
Of the several cosy and popular eateries on the lovely old cobblied Osterlanggatan in Gamla Stan, this simple Swedish bistro stands out as an authentic, welcoming and good value contender. No bookings taken so turn up before 7pm and wait with a drink at the bar ... they will squeeze you in. Nice friendly genuine service ... honest, tasty, fresh, well-prepared Swedish fare ... simple but warm and atmospheric ambience. All you could want for on a frosty night in the Old Town. I particularly enjoyed the three types of pickled herring starter and the grilled salmon ... perfect!

With our menu we want to offer you a culinary trip across the country of Sweden with several stops along the road. Every destination will be represented by one or more locally produced ingredient, all cooked in Smorgastarteriets way. Our beverage list is specially selected to suit our menu. Our wines are mainly from small producers all over the world and we often choose organic/biodynamic wines if the opportunity is given.
This was one of our visits on a culinary tour of Sweden, and wow...what a place.
It appears to be a small cafe/cake shop, but in fact, it houses a fantastic eating establishment with passionate, friendly hosts, and an absolutely delicious menu.
As has been pointed out, one of the quirky notes about this place, is the fact that it has two sittings only....6pm and 8.30pm, of roughly 20 customers, and everybody gets the same course at the same time. There was a seven course tasting menu of a provincial journey around Sweden. As is the case with menus like this, most dishes were delicious, some more than others, and some divided opinion! A wine pairing is available which offered tasty wines.
Staff are very knowledgeable and very attentive.
Overall though, what a delicious experience. Not cheap, but worth it!
Well done this restaurant....I only wish I knew how to properly pronounce its name! :)

Restaurant 'Bryggan' is located in Lidingo, an island just outside Stockholm, where there archipellago starts. In the marina, just by the water front, you can enjoy an excellent variety of courses from Sweden and Europe as well as classics from the grill. All directed by our head chef whom on a normal day also comes out to talk to the guests - hopefully in a beautiful sunset view.
Small local restaurant with a good menu, friendly staff and a location that is hard to beat when the sun shines! Wine is a bit expensive though, a general problem with eating out in Stockholm/Sweden. The long summer evenings in Stockholm make sitting by the sea a relaxing activity, you can't be stressed when looking out into the Baltic with a cold beer in your hand!
