The worst apreskibar we have ever visited. We ordered more rounds of drinks, but last round they gave us different drink than we ordered. We have talked to bartender about it, but he accused us that we drink too much of the drink and we want anotherone for free. And that was the reason he didn't want to exchange the drink. Than he braged to other guests how we wanted him cheated. This is not service as we are used to in Austria. Stay away from this bar!

Visited in Jan 2018 and not disappointed. We visit this restaurant every year and have always had great meals. Being a group of 8 we sampled various dishes. Everyone commented on the high quality of the food which was served with a smile. The chef at this restaurant goes the extra mile to provide a different style of presentation. Thoroughly recommended.

Gourmets are welcome to the Schusterhäusl in Flachau - In a unique ambience in historical rooms Your creature comfort is our job for this evening. Enjoy specialities from the Schusterhäusl kitchen, pre-selected vines from Austria, Italy, Spain and overseas and local gallant schnaps.
Visited in January 2018. Have eaten at this restaurant about 6 times and have never been disappointed. On this occasion visited in a group of ten. An excellent atmosphere and friendly staff in this small traditional dimly lit wood building. A variety of steaks were ordered with a table full of accompaniments. Everyone enjoyed their food. I shared a Chateaubriand with my wife which was more expensive but well worth the money. Already looking forward to next years visit.

This is a nice restaurant in Flachau. There were different sitting areas. Smoking is allowed in sone places and this was the only negative aspect as cigarette smoke kan irritate the eyes and spoil the atmosphere. This was a quite big place
and we could get a table for 13 people. We ordered different meals and everyone was satisfied with their meals. The food was nicely decorated and was tasty. The service was fantastic and the waiter was helpful. We liked the food and atmosphere that we made a new reservation to come here and eat again. There was a bar with live music so after dinner we had a nice time dancing.

Sehr gute Küche und Fleisch aus eigener Produktion
We have visited this traditional Inn several times over the past months, the last occasion being lunch today. It offers good food and friendly service from restaurant with great views over the local area.

Eine der besten Skilounges in Österreich, gutes Essen und viel VIP
Owned by the same family as Hotel Lisa, this is located halfway up the mountain. In winter it's a great party location apparently; in summer you can also have a great time! The same staff who looked after us so well at Hotel Lisa (se my separate review) were exceptional here, continuing to serve with a smile until 3am (and then serving us breakfast a few hours later down the mountain). The building is very attractive and there is a Terrace which has a moveable glass roof so that in good weather it is open. We had rain! Great food and drink and a wonderful view when it wasn't raining. I would definitely apres-ski here!

Have been in Flachau several times but usually eating in restaurants next to the main road.
This one is situated cca 150m high on the slope. You can take regular side road to reach it or just take a straight walk from ground station of Starjet up the slope.
It is proper wooden chalet type of restaurant. Rather small so you better book it up-front.
The offering is great. Local food for everyone. For kids, adults, vegetarians... And good selection of Austrian wines.
The soups are great. Try the garlic one or traditional veal soupe with "leber knödel".
For main we had spare ribs, spätzle in a pan, winnner schnitzel... Nothing to complain. And red wine from Burgenland which was light but still with great flavour.
Price-vise a bit higher than some in the area but it is worth paying.

I don't understand people raving about the food, it's average plain Austrian food served in many, many other restaurants in Flachau. Served, that must be said, in big quantities. But you don't have to go uphill for that.
That being said, the biggest fun begins after your dinner, preferably in the dark. For a few euro you can borrow a sled, with which you can go downhill on a slightly illuminated path right through the woods. A crazy funny ride, well worth the less than perfect food experience.

Friendly staff serve typical local food as of 11h30, when your first half day on the slope is over: my favourite being Kaspressknoedelsuppe followed by Kaiserschmarrn. Drink a Willi before you leave.
