We visited on a chilly afternoon and walked the perimeter of the lake (roughly 3 miles) in about an hour. Some of the route is on the road, its not well signposted at all but common sense got us all the way round. Car park was flooded and the walk is muddy. I'd personally like to see access restricted to some areas so that wildlife is less disturbed but nonetheless its a pleasant way to spend a could of areas and the hoards of people there show how popular it is.

Based in Worsley our family run company operates cruises along the historic Bridgewater canal from Worsley village, Boothstown, Sale, Dunham Massey and beyond. Francis Egerton is a luxury wide beam passenger vessel that can accommodate up to 32 passengers. Fully central heated it enables us to operate all year round. Private charter is available for groups whether it be a special birthday, anniversary, hen party, wedding, corporate event, coach tour or just a group outing. For individuals we offer our very popular Sunday lunch and Afternoon tea cruises which depart regularly throughout the year. Whether you wish to sample our fine dining or just enjoy the heritage of this historic canal we can tailor a package which will make for a truly unique and magical experience.
Had a really enjoyable cruise from Worsley to Trafford Park whilst enjoying a really fabulous Sunday lunch. Excellent value for money and drinks were very reasonably priced.

The winding house steam engines are awesome, check on line for when they are due to be run (on compressed air) the museum building is small but well worth a visit, the rest of the site is a work in progress.

You can come and whack balls at metal stuff (skip, beer barrels, washing machine) into our beautifully manicured field! See you soon.
Easy to find, good opening hours, friendly staff. Astley Driving range is a good place to air the golf clubs or practice on the outdoor mats to perfect that swing!

Join us for a unique, fun packed experience on one of the world’s most awesome High Ropes Adventure Courses, boasting 38 exciting obstacles. Amaze yourself as you take each of the challenges head on, from speedy zip wires, mid air jumps, knee wobbling tight ropes and much more. The outdoors has never been this much fun. No experience or skill is required, just a sense of adventure.
Booked this as a surprise for myself and my 64 year old mother who is usually somewhat of a daredevil. When the surprise was revealed she was quite nervous about whether she would be able to manage the course, Beth and Cam were so supportive, encouraging her to look at the course prior to putting on harnesses and giving her reassurance that they would be on hand to help her. It is solely down to them that she even attempted any of the obstacles, they explained everything so well and clearly for the group. Got mother on the course but she gradually turned more and more white so after obstacle number 3 we decided to save her blood pressure and call it quits. Beth and cam were so supportive of her, helping her back and trying to gently encourage her to try again. We didn't end up going back on or even completing the course but really feel they deserve a shout out for excellent customer service!

We visited this place on 11/11/17 as I have wanted to visit for some time being interested in Fred Dibnah and engineering, he visit was given an urgency as sadly the place is closing down.
We were given a tour by Leon and Alf who amused us with stories of Fred's antics and capers.
However I was a little shocked to discover that despite the impression given throughout the tour Leon had never actually met nor had an interest in Fred prior to buying the site, Alf on the other hand had known him for a long time and had travelled with him on his traction engine around britain.
It wa a very good day with good guides, only slightly spoiled by Leon's 'pushing' of hie merchandise DVDs etc

We visited Ena Mill and were pleasantly surprised by what we found in this hidden gem of a shopping mill...
The Mill offers a diverse collection of items to purchase including a large Yankee Candle collection, a massive range of clothing and bedding, plus suitcases and numerous gift ideas...
Staff are also great, leaving shoppers to shop in peace but on hand and helpful if required... there is also a good cafe here and a large free car park...
Ena Mill is well worth a visit, especially when they have regular sales periods on throughout the year...

Award winning micro-pub specialising in real ale, real cider and craft beer, with a particular focus on local micro-breweries. The cellar is proudly displayed within the bar area with only a few metres of pipework between you and the cask or keg. Also available are, small-batch distilled Gins with premium mixers, Prosecco on tap, cider, wine and a variety of bottles and cans to drink in or take away! Dog friendly with treats and fresh water always available!
A brilliant local place to enjoy a really nice drink. Plenty of cracking beers and ales on offer. Really friendly atmosphere and really nice, helpful staff. Better still if you want to take your dog in you can and the bar staff will spoil it with water and treats.
