This is the best branch of Harry Ramsden's that I've visited -- and handily (or dangerously!) it's just down the road from where I live.
I've never sat in the restaurant, but pop into the takeaway section about once a week. Their food is cooked really well, the shop is always spotless even on the busiest of days, and the people who work there are friendly and efficient.
As another reviewer says below, Diane and Dan in particular make a great team, and are a real credit to the business.

Lovely people, delicious unpretentious food and the sort of place where you want to stay and chat all night. What more can you want?

Walk through the doors of Las Iguanas and find yourself transported to Latin America, full of rich, vibrant colours, quirky features and custom-made wooden mosaic tables made especially for the restaurant from sustainable woods in Brazil. Each restaurant is unique and the staff love bringing unusual things back from their travels, ranging from large lobster sculptures to giant drums. The philosophy of Las Iguanas is to serve delicious and authentic Latin American food and drink in an environment which evokes the very best of Latin life. With recipes dating back to the 16th century, the food successfully fuses native Latin American Indian, Spanish, Portuguese and African influences. Working hard to ensure that everything comes from the best possible source, Las Iguanas is proud of its fresh GM free food and top quality ingredients.
Really nice restaurant on the ground floor of the food hall. Food is an eclectic mix of their version of South American tapas and standard Mexican dishes, nearly all having a veggie option, so good news. The staff are very enthusiastic, explaining the dishes and recommending cocktails. Admittedly, it was a Wednesday lunchtime so the restaurant wasn’t overly busy, but it was nice that the staff were so attentive. Cocktails were on offer at 2 for the price of 1, which made the whole experience even better. Portion sizes were big enough to allow sharing and all arrived in good time to be enjoyed together. Well done, it was great, we will be back soon.

Set in the heart of Manchester city centre, you will find our relaxed, intimate sushi bar offering an unparalleled dining experience through fresh, inspired creations. At the very core of our service offering is freshness and quality – in our ideas and our produce. Our skilled chefs are always striving to push the boundaries of the menu in innovative ways, to excite the palate of our customers and bring you Japanese dining at its very best. You can discover tempting hot dishes such as Taiwanese pork rice, Japanese Wagyu beef, daily special fish board. And choose from a plethora of sumptuous sides... While on the drinks menu, an impressive selection of beverages includes Japanese Koshu wines – probably their debut appearance in Manchester! We are happy to recommend, so please ask! Reservations highly recommended.
Anyone who wants to sample Japanese food needs to eat here. The menu is amazing. The place is spotlessly clean. The staff are very knowledgeable. The dishes are so well presented. The fish is fresh and so delicious. I cannot wait to go back here.

Veeno is an Italian Wine Café based in the UK serving our family produced Sicilian wines & authentic Italian spuntini. All of our wines come from our award-winning family vineyard in Sicily where 3 generations of our family have produced wine. This allows us to ensure the highest quality from the grape to the glass. We source all our cold meat cuts, breads and cheeses from Italy too.
Absolutely fantastic food and wine ,we spent three hours here for a selezione wine tasting experience .Seda the general manger couldn’t do enough for us her knowledge of the wines was amazing and she made my wife and I feel very at home . We will definitely be going back .

We revisited this superb restaurant with our friend Chris and was given a lovely welcome from Roberto, we took his recommendations and had a garlic pizza with cheese and blue cheese as an appetiser, beautiful! Chris had the meatball starter which looked lovely while Helen and I shared a garlic mushroom in blue cheese sauce, gorgeous! Then Chris and I went for the Sicilian Beef dish which was absolutely delicious all finished off with a house red blend that went down too well. Will definitely be coming back the next we visit our friend.

We were staying at the Novotel down the road and booked a table for two on the strength of the trip advisor reviews. The food was really good with excellent pasta.
Really busy but the service was good if not the friendliest, but the atmosphere was incredibly noisy, more like a pub when the football is on than a nice Italian restaurant!

On a visit to Manchester we just happened by this wonderful place and shared a pulled pork and macaroni cheese Sandwich. Crispy on the outside and oozing with three types of cheese within, this might just have been the tastiest Sandwich I’ve ever had. I liked the crunchy dill pickle and cole slaw that came with it, and a root beer rounded out the experience for this displaced American. Oh, and there was an Oreo brownie, too. Certainly the best food I had in my four days in Manchester and I would head straight back on my next visit.
