Dollard-des-Ormeaux (French pronunciation: [dɔlaʁ de zɔʁmo]; often referred to as D.D.O. or simply Dollard) is a predominantly English-speaking on-island suburb of Montreal in southwestern Quebec, Canada. The town was named after French martyr Adam Dollard des Ormeaux.

Oh the pastries and treats here are to die for. Reasonably priced and so delicious. The outdoor vendors were scarce because of the season but this places rocks even more in the warmer weather. Parking can be tricky on weekends

Haven't been here for 30 years so I was pleasantly surprised to find a still-vibrant shopping venue offering a good selection of stores. It was bright, clean and seemed to enjoy a good amount of traffic and people seemed to be enjoying themselves.
In this age of declining malls, Fairview seems to be holding its own.

The Dorval Museum of Local History and Heritage is dedicated to highlighting various events and people who featured prominently in the City’s history. Located in the former coach house of the Forest and Stream Club and enriched by an atrium offering an unparalleled view of Lake Saint-Louis, the Museum combines historic cachet, innovative multimedia installations and original exhibits to offer its visitors a unique experience in the heart of Dorval’s history.
Very interesting exhibits that highlight the history of Dorval. They also have special exhibits that highlight events and things that influenced Dorval and its growth. When we were there they had a special on the Lachine Rapids and what they meant to Dorval.
The museum also talks about the English heritage that strongly influenced the culture of the area along with the French connection. Tribute is also given the peoples native to the land.
Ample parking is available. There are restrooms also inside. There are stairs that take you to he second floor. While some exhibits are in French, they do have translated transcripts available to read.
The host and hostess the day we were there were very helpful and provided some very interesting insights regarding the people in the pictures on display. Definitely worth a visit even if it isn't raining.

I brought my 12 and 2 year old there. It is great for older kids, the smaller kids, though they have a section dedicated to them, older kids still run through and they could easily be knocked over or hurt. I had my son's bday there when he turned 12 and took the trampoline and laser tag package. He and his friends enjoyed both. If you do not want to go barefoot you need to buy their special socks. They are pretty cheap and worth it in my opinion.

Well friends if you are planning to go back to Manoir for lunch or supper, you will find that some of the favorite menu items are back on but they are still not the same top quality as before the reno. The food was ok but obviously pre prepared and ordered in for cooking. The service was VERY slow and most of the evening all you heard from the kitchen was smashing plates. Not encouraging.
I would only consider the restaurant as a 3rd choice as it is no longer a Montreal pub but an American style chain joint.
Sorry to state but a great memory in the city is now gone for the almighty buck.

Near Montmorency Metro in Laval with a lot of parking space ($), it's a great place (more intimate than large places like the Bell Center in Montreal) mainly for standup comics shows, singers, plays and other performing arts. Seats are comfortable and you are never very far from the stage. Good acoustics. Entrance and exits allow for quick egress. Large lobby area with snack and beverage counter. Efficient ticketing desk. Programming always offers a wide variety of entertainement.

A nice theater. The place was needing a little bit of cleaning, but overall, the sound was fine and the chairs are good. Prices were decent. plenty of parking.

Mark is an expert fisherman and guide. His first class boat, fishing equipment and his research of the water systems makes for a phenomenal experience. I have been using his service for over 5 years and have yet to be dissapointed by a day on the lake. Bass, Walleye, Sturgeon, Pike and Musky are just to name a few of the species I have captured while on the water with Mark Currie. Highly recommended and comfortably fits 2 on his boat with the ability to move around while reeling in the fish.
