One of the more expensive restaurants in town with a view of the river.
I found the food uninspring. The fish soup resembled a tomato soup with no fish in it, the fish fillet was tasteless. But the dinner has some undesirable consequences for my digestion, luckily ony for one night. Got an arrogant reaction to my complaints.

In the center of Saint Louis, Peggy welcomes you in her restaurant bar lounge,La Kora,in a warmful athmosphere. You can have a drink in the patio, eat either inside or outside or even at the bar. Enjoy the place with your family or with friends, you 'll be delighted!
A nice outdoor area with bar and high tables, as well as an indoor restaurant. Nice, simple food of European style. Limited menu, but good choices (that probably change daily). Recommended for a quiet family dinner (like many restaurants in Senegal, only opens after 6 PM for dinner).

It was a bit tricky to find it , the google maps location isn't 100% accurate, but after some walking around I found that hidden gem.
The place serves simple Senegalese food , but it was so good. I had 4 meals there, the various chickens are the highlights of the place.
The little guy working there was first a bit concerned by my complete inability to speak french , but after my second time there was welcoming me with a huge smile .
This place is the proof that simple food can be so much better than the fancy restaurants around .

The restaurant in La residence is great. Lovely attentive staff and great food to add. They have traditional Senegalese food and the seafood seemed fresh. We had a great time here. They only use 'tourist water' so you definitely won't get sick here.

Well they have nice pastries..which is normal if you live in Dakar, but apparently not normal in St Louis...this place was dark, service was good, cappuccino was the usual horrible coffee with whipped cream from a tin piled high on the top...free wifi attracted the backpackers...I would not go back unless I was in need of a pastrie...

Nice selection of pastry and croissants, with confit and jam. Could be better with fresh fruit, instead of fruit from tins. Not bad overall!

If you fancy good local food in modest surroundings this is the place. We had poisson yassa and poisson saintlouisienne - fresh fish as the africans eat it. Very good, very cheap. Also the tamarind juices were nice.

This is a great break from the dust and noise in Saint Louis. You can either combine it with an excursion to the Djoudj bird sanctuary or just go for lunch in nature. Beautiful location on a small tributary to the river Senegal. It is a lodge with half a dozen bungalows overlooking the river and nice pool. This is where we had our best meal in Senegal: these people know how to cook. The French owner used to be a chef and the current chef was the head cook at the (ex) French consulate in Saint Louis. Perfectly prepared fish catch of the day and remarkable chocolate dessert.

Le Reveil is a little gem. Mawdo, the owner, cook and waiter, is the most welcoming person in Saint Louis. Always smiling and keen to please The food is always good, honest and very reasonable - the best value for money in town. We were in Saint Louis for 2 weeks and ate there every other day. Always a pleasure, felt at home.
