The balance of tastes, flavors, colors, textures; creating a plate as a piece of art, an expanded wine card, the magic sound of the piano, the absolute beauty of the painters displayed on our walls; all of this to make you live an experience with all your senses in its pure definition.
We stayed at the Auberge one night on our way back to Montreal from Nova Scotia and booked the package that includes the 8 course tasting menu.
The food was wonderful and all of the staff were knowledgeable. Even the breakfast was a delicious 4 courses.
I doubt there are any comparable restaurants within 100 km. Their wine collection is extensive and their sommelier was superb.

We were returning from a long trip in the Maritimes, and we decided to stop in Temiscouata to delay our return home (you know the felling!!!). After visiting the village we stopped at <Le pub> were everithing was perfect. Great service, nice beer, good food ( fried shrimp + delicious dip for me, nicely cooked Atlantic salmon for my wife). Don't ignore the spot, if in the area!

We have known this boulangerie for several years and have often called in for freshly made sandwiches and pastries.
Unfortunately the standard of baking is well below average and is by no means "gourmand".
The bread, cakes etc. are not what one would expect from an experienced artisan baker.
On our last visit this was compounded by being served croissant and pan au chocolat which, although claimed by the patron to be fresh, were at least one or even two days old and were inedible. When challenged we were given freshly baked produce. I cannot understand why this should ever happen unless the previous days produce is intentionally held over day on day for sale.. This experience sadly reflects the experience of the previous reviewer.
However, this is the only "boulangerie" in Cabano and the sandwiches are fresh and well presented. It is a great pity the quality of the baking does not live up to the florid language used in the promotional material.

The host was very welcoming and charming. The shrimp and scallops broscette was cooked to perfection. The salad greens were very fresh and flavorful.
The ambience was comfortable with old typewriters and sewing machines placed around. The price was very reasonable for the quality of the food friendly attitude of the owner. We highly recommend laDolce Vita to anyone in the area of Temescouata-du-de-Lac, Quebec.

Le Stela is on the main street in Temiscouata-sur-le-Lac, a small town in Quebec not far from the border with Maine. Le Stela is half sports bar, half steakhouse, with TV's tuned to sports channels (on mute) in both parts of the establishments. My wife and I both had the brochettes made of tenderloin, which were excellently cooked and came with rice as well as a generous salad. The Spanish wine we chose was cheap and perfectly acceptable, and the service was quick and friendly.

Resto-bar-terrace, specialty pizza in a wood oven, pool, dining room for 50 people. For all kind of occasions, contact us.
A lovely place just a little off the commercial venue but still on Avenue commercial. Lovely area with a wood oven to cook pizza.
Went there more than once, business and for fun. The pizzas are just beautiful and tasty. Should you go for lunch, remember that it may take more time because of the cooking time.
They also have great fries with beer mayonnaise.
