I discovered this place by accident, thought it looked interesting and went in for a coffee and what an amazing coffee it was, an enormous cafetiere full of Java. There are colourful paintings on the walls and a very friendly owner. went in again couple of weeks later and had coffee and a bowl of exquisite soup. This place is a unique gem and my words do not do it justice.

Worth spending time in Howard Park with nice walks and a small duck pond. There are no refreshment facilities but there are vending machines in the swimming baths which are on edge of the park.

The perfect place to visit if you want local handmade/handcrafted unique gifts.
Set in what was the visitors centre, is the perfect little Arts and Crafts Gallery with the added bonus of tea and homemade cakes.
Plenty of parking and lovely walks in the countryside.
You are always greeted with a friendly smile, so what are you waiting for, I would recommend that you visit very soon.

I've been in the Prince many times upon my return to the UK and have thoroughly enjoyed each visit. This is your typical local boozer, low ceilings and cosy corners. They also have all the sports channels for all the major football games, shown on 2 separate tvs so viewing is easy, and there's a pool table for enjoyment.

Situated in the heart of the Peak District, the country views from The Boar clay shooting ground are second to none.
Christian (the owner) and his team are friendly and welcoming to both experienced and inexperienced shooters. They will cater for your every need and tend to let you get on with your own thing, gun hire is available for a small fee and they cater for all ages by offering different calibre guns. Id say anyone from the age of 8 and above would be fine on this ground with an adult or one of Christians team.
They have two Olympic skeet ranges, a down the line set up, a flush shoot and many many more different targets, this wide range of targets will stop even the best of shooters getting bored.
The staff at the clay shoot are very knowledgeable about the sport and will be more than happy to help with any questions or queries you may have.
Rest assured, Christian and his team take safety very seriously, fun for all the family.

What an amazing place this is, But can also be very erie,
Please show respect, as 13 people died here.
It is a crash site of a Superfortress 44-61999 'Over-Exposed,
It it easy to get to as long as you take care and where the correct clothing and foot wear, as it is high up on the moors, and can be very boggy in places.
You could very easily get lost up here on a bad day, as it all looks the same.
The best way to get to it is from the back, from the pennine way track.
Take care if visiting, as it can be a very dangerous area in bad weather, and without the right walking gear.
On the 3rd November 1948 RB-29A 44-61999 was being used for a flight from Scampton near Lincoln to Burtonwood near Warrington, a flight of less than a hour. Low cloud hung over much of England that day and as such the flight was to be conducted on instruments. After having flown for the time the crew believed it should have taken them to cross the hill they descended. However the aircraft was not quite passed the hills and struck the ground near Higher Shelf Stones and was destroyed by fire.
If Visiting Please: TAKE CARE & SHOW SOME RESPECT
