My wife and I popped in for a light supper, portions are big, beer and wine cold and a comfy bar. Good prices also.

Derbyshire Life Magazine voted us the best Tea Room in Derbyshire Last year. We are open from noon until 5pm Wednesday and Thursday and noon till 10pm Friday and Saturday and noon till 6pm Sunday.
We had afternoon tea here in December 2017. The food was excellent. Whilst eating we were entertained by a gentleman playing keyboard. It really contributed to a lovely, relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. I would definitely recommend a visit to this lovely, friendly establishment. I must say the staff were so helpful and friendly. We will certainly go back.

This is a cafe. No pretensions, no nonsense - just an honest cafe. The food is decent enough quality, the portions are large and the prices are low. I doubt you could buy and make your own breakfast for much less. It'll set you up for the day or sort a hangover out in the best way possible. Does get busy at times and when it does service can get a bit slow and the attention to the food drops a bit. But still it's good. Must say I was a bit disappointed with the burger - I was expecting a proper full on burger (lettuce, toms, gherkins sauce etc) but what I got was a patty in a bun with a slice of cheese. Wasn't gourmet but I put that down to either not specifying I wanted it loaded properly or the fact the place was rammed. The bloke on the till is friendly and professional. All in all its a great place that does what is says on the tin.

Traditional 16 Century English Pub , serving local ales, hot drinks and home cooked fresh pub food. Warm friendly welcome and atmosphere, all the family, groups and dogs welcome
A very welcoming landlord ensuring the atmosphere was bubbling along with plenty of lively staff serving delicious sensibly priced food. Felt like the beating heart of a strong village community. I simply wish every village and small town still had these lively, committed and real...MoreThank you so much for you lovely review, hopefully we'll see you again soon!

Located in Glossop in Derbyshire, Ayubowan is an escape to warmer climates. The restaurant boasts authentic foods of Sri Lanka set in a relaxing environment. The team of Sri Lankan chefs produce foods of the region with a contemporary twist for you to enjoy. Using the Head Chef's family secret home-made recipes, combined with the finest Sri Lankan ingredients.
I wanted a different type of meal , tired of Curry, Chinese and gastro pubs. A Google search brought up this local eatery in Glossop not a gastronomic centre i thought but I was surprised at the extent of foodie places and pubs as we approached this restaurant. Situated on a first floor the restaurant is serviced by a staircase and a stair lift for physically impaired. Once in the restaurant you are treated to a tastefully decorated facility with pointers to the heritage and culture on the walls . The menu is extensive and touches it's cap to Sri Lanka's neighbour India but there is distinct individuality to the food. The food was lovely, my dish particularly tasty my partners whilst tasty proved too hot for us both and the menu might benefit from a star rating considering the food is not as well understood as the average Indian restaurant menu. Overall I was blown away by the decor and the food and we will defiantly be going again having discovered this place by chance.

This is a very popular ristorante. Very much a family affair with ringing bells to celebrate birthdays and everyone singing to the birthday boy/girl, this is a place for everyone who likes to be social.
The portions are not massive but in Italy they aren't, the pasta course for example is exactly that a course usually had before the main. The food is excellent, fresh and made with care. The staff are friendly and well informed on the food they are serving.
This place is busy so book as you won't get in otherwise.
I will be back frequently now I know its there.

Visited Casa D'Italia after recommendations from lots of friends.
We visited as a group of four and would recommend pre-booking as this place is popular.
A lovely setting inside, quite intimate, nice lighting and comfortable.
We opted for a variety of dishes including soup of the day, scallops, steak and lobster. Every single item was divine. Cooked beautifully and delicious.
If you have room I must recommend the cheese board. It was huge and the cheeses on offer were perfection.
The service was second to none. Staff were attentive and super friendly but not over bearing at all.
If your looking for a really good Italian restaurant then this is the place. We can't wait to return.
10 out of 10.
