Ample car park space on this Saturday afternoon. You have to pay for it.
We went for over an hours walk with our dog, along the pathways and through the lovely woods (especially the Redwood like trees). Fairly muddy underfoot.
A healthy option for the day. Good for all ages.

This was truly a wonderful Garden in every way.Monty Don should visit he would love it.The place is perfect in every way and needs to be visited in every season as its packed with plants. The Gardeners do not dig the soil as its full of bulbs etc so they scratch the surface to plant and weed by hand.Superb!

A timber framed market house built by the King's Carpenter, John Abel, in 1633. Grange Court is now owned by the community of Leominster through LARC Development Trust, who purchased the building from Herefordshire Council for £1. Visitors to Grange Court can learn about the building's impressive history using vibrant interpretation, hire the space for private or community use, or just relax in the cafe with a coffee. Admission is free.
I did not have time to visit the whole property but there is currently a "Leominster in Stitches" exhibition which is a brilliant history of life and law in Leominster and completed by some very talented and imaginative stitchers - well worth a look. There is a small cafe at Grange Court which has excellent coffee and the food looked wonderful. Next visit I must explore the rest of the building - looks fascinating!

We celebrated our Silver Wedding yesterday with Lunch at The Grove for 15 family members. We booked the upper gallery which was perfect for us. The food was excellent, great choice and very good value for money. There were several starters, 3 main roasts plus veg and fish options plus puds. The waiting staff and bar staff were excellent and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day including the Bowling after. I recommend the Roast Lamb best i've tasted for ages. I would highly recommend this venue. Thank you .

Our independent volunteer-run museum tells the story of the long history of the town of Leominster and its surrounding villages. Its extensive collections include watercolour paintings by John Scarlett Davis, a local 19th-century artist; agricultural implements, including a horse driven cider mill and a cider press; displays about domestic and industrial life in the town, and a wide range of books and historic photographs.
Some local history museums are dull, poky little places, staffed by uninterested jobsworths and cluttered with bequests of old junk. This isn't one of them. The staff are welcoming, helpful and highly knowledgeable, the Exhibitions well laid out and fascinating. They do the very best they can with limited resources - it's free to enter but they deserve a generous donation.

lunch with friends at Leominster golf club. the catering manager denise has built up a good reputation locally over many years so we were keen to see for ourselves. and we were not let down. good freshly cooked well presented meals at sensible prices, denise is definatly at the top of her game and we have yet to find better locally.

I called in to the Priory to see the famous Ducking Stool which was last used to duck Jenny Pipes in 1809 . In 1817 the pond level was so low that Sarah Leeke was wheeled round the town in the chair , humiliated, rather than being ducked.
The stool was used both on gossiping villagers or women with loose morals as well as dishonest tradesmen ( mostly brewers & bakers ).
There is also a public house by this name but I haven't been in for a drink there yet .

A wonderful place for families to camp on a working farm with hot showers, proper toilets, washing up station, electric hook ups and fantastic panoramic views of rolling hills and trees. Hiring the hand made fire pits and barrow of fire wood is a must to sit round on the evenings and as there is very little light pollution you can see millions of stars. The farmer also gives farm tours and takes children for a ride on a barrel train.
