Gastronomic chef : Black board service, dish of the day, 28 euros menu. Fresh meat and fish delivered every morning To give you the best chef's food at the best prices.
We ate here last night - very hospitable and friendly owner - excellent value and beautifully presented set menu (28E).
Comfortable outside Terrace - we arrived in cycling clothes and owner not put off and not made to feel under dressed.
Very varied a la Carte which we will try on another occasion when we are not so pressed for time. I was having an alcohol free day but the cocktails also looked vry tempting.
Would thoroughly recommend for casual, holiday dining.

Just stopped for a glass of red wine and was brought a beautiful platter of apéros. Fabulous place. Great food and wine

Visited on Tues 20th June in a group of 8. We ate there last year and it was great. Sound track and service were spot on. This time it was disappointing. We were crammed in one corner with other diners and service was very slow. The lobster meal came out a long time after the other 7 meals, the requested mustard didn't turn up at all. We won't be booking next year...

Here in the old quarter of Sainte Maxime, just behind the church, we found this, from the outside almost invisible, tiny French bistrot. Inside here is quite authentic. Low ceiling and close between the tables. Open out to the tiny kitchen where le Chef reigns. Here smells wonderful spices and cooking good food. The menu is not large, contains two menus in different price range and a number of à la carte dishes that are the same from the menus. Honestly and fair. The typical choice is the starter, main course and dessert, followed by an espresso. The food is extremely well cooked, tastes heavenly and there are plenty of it. The wine list is manageable and you stand by choosing le Chefs recommendation. Remember to book a table. It's the locals' favorite eatery.

A very pleasant restaurant on the beach
Very helpful staff and always crowded
Make a reservation in advance, especially if you want to dine in the evening
They have a nice menu, but prices are too high for that what you get
Quality however is ok, no more than that
The variety of wines are more than excellent
Worth a visit !

Decided to come here based on all the great reviews and the fact that we are based in le plan de la tour and therefore it's relatively close to us. The menu is small but a variety of choice and all freshly cooked. Very good value prices and the wines are also decent and affordable. I had tartare of saumon which was delicious and came with a fragrant rice and salad, the others in my party had various offerings such as entrecote (delicious) and a wok style dish. The cafe gourmand was well priced and contained 4 desserts each of a good size. The chef/owner Marine came around at the end to see if everything had been ok which was a nice touch. My only comment would be that it lacks a little ambiance. Half of it is covered in wines (and a little dark) and the other half is a little like a cafeteria, but nevertheless definitely worth trying out.

Unique and intimate atmosphere dedicated to Gourmet products and Art Gallery in the indoor garden.
Easy to find, tuck behind the entrance of a gallery. Like a secret garden in the back of someone's home. Quiet and peaceful location with freshly made food of Provençal style. Excellent yet relaxed service. Be sure to save room for dessert. We'll worth a visit away from the tourists on Rue Paul Bert.

We had before and had some great carpaccio and steaks, but did as we promised we returned for a pizza, my chorizo pizza was loaded with a great chorizo sausage, not your inferior stuff here, it was truly delicious, my wife's pizza was also excellent and now we have a great place to come back to for a good honest fresh pizza.

We enjoyed eating at Le Bistrot Paul Bert. Most of the dishes were tasty and well designed. The atmosphere was nice with the right volume of music. Nevertheless something in this restaurant was unprofessional. The waiters walked along the small restaurant very fast and disturbing, but almost didn't pay attention to us. Some of the dishes like the duck leg were too salty and dry. Enjoyable but could be better.

Stopped here by chance and enjoyed a delicious gluten free cake and coffee. Gluten free cakes aren't usually worth the bother but I was very impressed with these
