This is one of the cities oldest italian restaurants. A local hideaway with a lot of history, and not to fancy. The menu has a good selection of italian food, including cheap lunch specials. We had early dinner, and sampled both pizza, pasta and meat. Nice house wine, good food, tender beef and all in all a good experience. Friendly service by the young ladies.

This restaurant with mainly an Italian menu is situated in the center of Karlstad just a few minutes from the railway station and not far from Stora Torget (The Big Square).
There are quite many seats and the restaurant seems to be quite popular. I went there in the end of December 2016 with my daughter. We had a pizza each and were not disappointed. I rank my pizza as the best I ever had! The wine, recommended by the waiter, was very good, of course Italian. The pizza is called "Gorgonzola".
The staff is nice and very efficient. The service fast.
I do recommend the restaurant!

We are a small restaurant with high ambition when it comes to the food. We focus on local food and nice service and atmosphere.
During our trip to Sweden my boyfriend and I stayed a few days in Karlstad, and we went to Bla because a local friend recommended it to us. We were certainly not dissapointed! Great food and great service! The restaurant is modern and welcoming and the staff is friendly and efficient.

Staff were friendly and the pizzas were delicious.
The starters weren't quite so good - the caprese salad didn't have any basil and the garlic prawns was really watery.
The wine by the glass selection was quite limited which is always a shame because I prefer white with pizza whilst hubby prefers red...
Tiramisu dessert was good.

Since places in Karlstad rapidly start to close even before 9PM, our options for food were limited at this hour. Luckily, restaurants and bars in the very centre of the city are open a bit longer, and Harrys bar was one of them. It is in line with other central restaurants, on the main square, with a sitting area outside and with wifi. While walking we compared prices, concluded that this restaurant was just following the trend, and this trend was that for a dinner for two with drinks you needed over 60 EUR (and we are not talking about fine dining, but a pub). Food was not bad, far from excellent, there was too much salt, especially in the spreading. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We went there for lunch after being quite frustrated about what Karlstad had on offer and then were mind blown by what we got for 90kr. Only the salad buffet was worth the money, a great variety from green salad, to bean salad, couscous and many others. Also included were some drinks, coffee, bread and a man course such as pork or salmon, both in a very high quality. Super friendly and quick service. Definitely the best place in Karlstad!

Three of us looking for a great meal in Karlstad ended up at Casanova. Entering the premisses with no expectations. Service was great, personal and what a dedication. The food held a surprising high level and we left with the overall rating - this was great. Highly recommended.

First introduction to typical Swedish cuisine. Food was excellent, well prepared and presented and good quantity's. Great choice of wines to compliment the food. Wonderful charming atmosphere and quiet even though most of the tables were full. Service was very attentive but not overbearing. Definitely one of the classier restaurants in Karlstad. Whether you want a romantic dinner or a business dinner, this is the place for you.

Restaurant offers a modern take on Swedish food. The locale was huge yet we were placed somewhat to close to the relatively few other guests. I would request a more quiet table next time. Otherwise service was very good, most enjoyable is the retro-trendy courses in combination with how and in what they are being served.

When you step inside The Bishops Arms, it feels like you came from one of London’s narrow streets. Authentic pub atmosphere, tasty and affordable food, music that allows a sensible conversation.
I had some good fish here for dinner, the ambiance was good, the food was good and the staff was attentive but not overbearing. I will be back when I am in town again.
