Really beautiful building with an amazing gift shop and lots of brochures and tourbooks. Staff was really friendly and helpful. There is a museum that was still being built and there is a balcony you can stand on and look out. Lots of things to...MoreHi iloveloveseaotters, thank you for your review! Scout Island is a gem within the City of Williams Lake. The Nature Centre has many interactive exhibits and a team of keen university students working in the summer months will answer questions about the local fora and fauna. The trails are well maintained with lovely board walks. Bird, geese and duck songs are always being sung with many different voices joing in the chorus. A must see for locals and visitors and a great place for a picnic lunch.

The Station House Gallery & Gift Shop, situated in an historic #3 Rail Station, presents 16 - 20 monthly Exhibitions yearly that feature local, regional and touring artists. The Gift shop showcases the works of regional artisans in a multitude of mediums. This gallery's charm is only exceeded by the quality of the artwork. Admission is Free.
Located at the edge of downtown at the end of Oliver Street, they have lots of off-street parking available. This is one of the oldest buildings in town and as the name implies it is the old railway station.
The gallery and gift shop showcase a huge variety of arts and crafts from local artisans.
Definitely worth a visit.

Located on the edge of downtown, they have a small parking lot at the side of the building.
It is a small museum, with low entrance fee ($5), but it houses extensive memorabilia of local life - ranching, rodeo, gold panning, etc. They have thousands of items on display with lots of Reading material to enjoy.
A great rainy day activity.

Firstly we had 5 canoes delivered for us and that went super. Practically new canoes with life vests and paddles. Had a fantastic canoe trip in the Cariboo with a group of friends from Norway and Eastern Canada. The group said the nature and scenery were amazing and out of this world ! Highly recommend a canoe trip in the Cariboo.

With a stunning view of Williams Lake and the San Jose River valley, Coyote Rock Golf Course offers a challenge for every level of golfer. It is a 9 Hole Master's length Par 33 course. We offer a driving range, full pro shop and fully licensed club house. Come visit us today!!!!
This fairly new golf course (9 hole for now) has a wonderful location high above and overlooking the south end of Williams Lake. It is run by the local First Nations band who are friendly and accommodating. The fairways are still a bit rough, but the greens are in excellent shape. It would be nice if they would spend more time and $ working on improving the cart paths, as they are rough and tumble so to speak. However, I am sure when they get a few more years of grooming in that it will be even better. They also have a driving range which is a nice bonus. It is right off the Hwy 97 (highway north to Alaska) and would be a very convenient, quick game of golf for those looking to get out of the car and enjoy some fresh air and stretch their legs. Oh, and did I mention... $15 Golf everyday! Gotta like that.

Went for a drive this weekend and stopped to have our lunch at Churn Creek. Such a beautiful area, the Fraser River is so spectacular! We stopped at the really nice info booth and enjoyed the beach and gorgeous views.
Also went for a very nice side trip to Empire Valley.

First time visiting - one adult, one preteen, go karts are in pristine condition, track was well built and maintained.
We also did par 3 golf which was a good place to play for a beginner, at least this day there was lots of room between players so we weren't rushed.
Overall spend was about $50 for Karting and golfing (inc rental) for two people.
Cheers to owner for getting the karts-only place between salmon arm and Prince George!
The kid loooooved it! Next time we'll bring picnic lunch and enjoy their covered picnic area.

This is a superb bike trail. Can be ridden right off MacKenzie for 12km x2 or 'cheat', start down the Frizzy Road, there's a parking lot there, for only 5km x2 to Fraser River.
The view was superb, Bridges, river, cliffs etc. Suitable for family with younger kids. No motorized vehicle are allowed. Going to the river would be downhill, but it's very rewarding. If you are a nature lover/scenic adventurer, this is a must !
