Was searching for soup buntut in Bandung . Came across in a blog post. Then I check on TA. Sounds extremely good from the review.
Since it is quite near to the hotel I going. I give it a try.
It is good. Not so strong of the smell.
Have a lot of carrots and potatoes as well.
The Ayam goreng is very small. I piece may not be enough for big eater.
Keropok so-so only . And very oily.

Once you get into the inside area of the restaurant, you'll feel the warmth feeling of an old home, very comfortable! Good thing the location is in Bandung so the weather is just perfect for such a good semi-outdoor restaurant. I was with a group of 3 and we ordered Beef & Egg, Bratwurst and the Tenderloin Steak and no one left with unhappy tummies! The meat were great, the sides were amazing to share, and not to mention they come with affordable price with such quality and portion! Id never leave Bandung without paying this place a visit. In addition, they have a great selection of pastries which are also, to-die-for...the eclair was superb!

Experience Feast - the colorful culinary experience in Bandung
Tried seafood buffet dinner at Feast. Photo used on hotel website to advertise seafood buffet was terribly misleading. I just checked before writing this review and clearly see freshly shucked oysters with crab and prawns in the photograph. However, only miserable-looking mussels were available that evening. "Fresh seafood" looked sad and unappetizing. Japanese section only 2 varieties of sushi, no sashimi offered!! Cooked food was quite good as was the fresh seafood - fish, squid, prawns and mussels - grilled or deep fried to your request. Dessert selection reasonable variety. No coffee/tea/beverages included in price. Being Starwood Preferred Guest member I was to be offered 20% discount (as advertised on hotel website) but was originally only given 10%. This was subsequently rectified when I alerted staff to discrepancy. Will not recommend this seafood buffet for true seafood lovers who I believe will be disappointed with the overall standard.

Stone Cafe serves many type of cuisines, from western to Indonesian dishes. We ordered Nasi Raos and Nasi Timbel sets, which taste delicious.
From this restaurant we can also enjoy a nice view of Bandung City.
Pricing is reasonable, services are quite efficient and ambience is pretty good.
It’s worth a visit if you are in Dago atas area. It’s a good place to hang out with group of friends.

Very recommended for people from outside Bandung area or for foreign tourists because they serve very authentic Bandung foods, which is not made me amaze with their food. But, I like the ambience of this restaurant, they have a great landscape and can boost-up my mood. So I think it's fair enough to put this restaurant on the 1st rank in Trip Advisor

THE PARIS OF JAVA At Maison Bogerijien, indulge in an ambience and menu that takes you back in time to the glorious days of Indonesia's colonial past. The paintings and pictures on the restaurant's walls reminisce of the "Parijs Van Java" period when Bandung lay at the heart of the Dutch East Indies and was home to a melange of grand hotels, restaurants, cafes and European boutiques. Combined, these pictures tell the story of Maison Bogerijen's links to Indonesia's rich Dutch heritage. A CENTURY OF MAISON BOGERIJEN Opened in 1918 by L. Van Bogerijen, Maison Bogerijen was first located on the east side of the Bragaweg and Oude Hospitalweg crossroads. Set in a typical townhouse of the time, the restaurant featured a dinning room that opened up to a garden sheltered by the canopy of two majestic trees. A symbol of the Kingdom of the Netherlands could be seen in the middle of the building and signs in French, such as "glacier", "cuisinier" and "confiseur", decorated parts of the roof. By 1923, the restaurant had moved to its present location at Braga Permai in Bragaweg. A MYRIAD CULTURES & CUISINES With its assortment of French, local Indonesian and Dutch delights, Maison Bogerijen soon became a popular favourite, with prominent figures in the Dutch Kingdom and the governor generals of the Dutch East Indies amongst its elite patrons. The restaurant served a menu of sweet goodies, including cakes, chocolates and ice creams, but it also served main dishes from different countries and cultures, providing a dining experience like no other. Loyal customers came from areas around Braga such as Coorde Alley, Spaarbank Alley, Telepfoon Alley, Bruyn & Thyssen Alley, Oude Hospitalaweg, Tamblongweg and more. They made their way to the back of the building daily to delight in the restaurant's special morning stall, which sold a selection of breads and cakes for a hearty breakfast. For customers living further away from Braga, the stall ran a Delivery service until the late 1980s. FROM MAISON BOGERIJEN TO BRAGA PERMAI Journey with us in time as you dine in the Paris of Java. Treat yourself to our original authentic recipes such as ontbijkoek, booterstaf, ananas gebak and almond speculaas as well as a range of other dishes and desserts from around the world. Indulge too in the restaurant's colonial charm, which pays homage to its Indonesian and Dutch roots. Fragments of the old Maison Bogerijen such as the old kitchen, the room used to bake bread (including the old oven and mixer) and the residual gas pipe remain today to add to the charm. Today known as Braga Permai, the restaurant is a local favourite, treasured for serving up the best of both worlds. - a modern tribute to a time gone by
This restaurant is probably an institution. Everything here is old school, from the decor to the flooring to the waiters' uniform and plating of food. And it looks like it's very popular, with a sizable dinner crowd. The restaurant serves both western and local food. We had the western option and the food looked and tasted right out of the 70s! I guess if it ain't broke, why fix it? The food tasted good but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to keep playing the nostalgia card.
