What to do and see in Urayasu, Japan: The Best Places and Tips
Urayasu is part traditional fishing village, part Disney. It’s best known as the home of Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Sea (and, naturally, the hotels, restaurants and shopping that accompany the theme parks). Most visitors are, naturally, here for the parks, but if you’re interested in the town’s history, a few old fishermen’s cottages can be toured.

This sister park to Tokyo Disneyland offers water-themed rides and adventures including wild watercraft at Aquatopia and submarine rides at 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

Most of adult prefer Disney Sea over Disney Land. Both design are awesome, but this one was rather classic and less colorful than Disney Land. The vintage feeling in some area, I love it..
I recommend to secure your ticket earlier to watch their Broadway show (Big Band Beat), it's such a high class musical performance. The queuing system are helpful and saving your time for favorite rides but sometimes frustrating if you not manage the schedule well.
Too bad the fireworks was cancelled due to the weather.

Not sure I can recommend this place. Made a special trip out to visit this museum based on reviews. My 12- and 10-year-old had a positive attitude going in, yet that deflated midway through. Yes, there are older cars you can enter, and interactive cars as well. The simulator that has the screen plus the corresponding motion is the best. The other simulators with the screens only have an overbearing attendant that wants the "driver" to stop "just so", so he guides the "train" in for the child!!!
The model of the subway system looks amazing, but is only operational four times a day. Disappointing!! We visited right in between two times, and it was definitely not worth it to wait -- not sure why such an apparently well-constructed model needs to have such limited use!!!
Lastly, there are some explanations in English, but we felt our understanding was limited due to the lack of bilingual signage. Yes, it is Japan, but the museum could probably benefit in terms of increased tourist traffic by the addition of multilingual signage.

This was the highlight of my trip to Tokyo. I would highly recommend anyone going to Japan to see a sumo match as it’s a total authentic Japanese experience and super to watch. Read up on the rules beforehand so you know a bit more about what’s going on but really super. You can book tickets online before your trip.

I have been to Disneyland in California three times in the last 10 years and can say that the waiting times for popular rides in Tokyo Disneyland were a lot longer - it took me about 2.5 hours to get into the Splash Mountain. Between 10.30 in the morning and 6pm, I managed to get into 4 rides or shows. There were just too many people even on a school day. Even to buy food, there’s always queues.
It did not help that some parts were closed for construction. The electric parade was good and the travel to and from the venue was easy by trains.

Tokyo Sea Life Park captures visitors with a huge glass dome, displaying rare marine life collected from the Pacific, Indian Ocean, Atlantic, Arctic and Antarctic. Especially thrilling is the Bluefin tuna darting swiftly around in a huge 2,200-ton donut-like tank under the glass dome. It is the world’s first facility in which pelagic fish swim in a cluster and succeeded in spawning.
The aquarium is also known for its exhibition of penguins, one of the largest in Japan, raising Humboldt, Rockhopper, Fairy, and King penguins that can be observed both on land and through water. It also exhibits the world’s largest kelp, a cluster of sea algae from California, various marine environments of Ogasawara Islands, Izu Seven Islands and Tokyo Bay to show sea life in Tokyo, and sea birds, like tufted puffin and murre, swimming at a dazzling speed under water.
In addition, the aquarium has a display of duplicated Freshwater life that existed in Tokyo when it was rich with nature. Motsugo Psedorasbora parva fish, which are rarely seen in Tokyo nowadays, are in some ponds and marshes.

We tried to visit the museum earlier in the week only to find the museum is currently closed until end of March 2018. There were many other tourists also discovering this and being disappointed.

It's a wonderful mall to go to, a break from restaurants and shops in Tokyo Disney. We visited Ikspiari in mid-December 2017. There are food court with much more reasonable prices versus those in Disney restaurants. There's a pharmacy at ground level near one of the exit which is very near Saizeriya restaurant. The masks sold in the pharmacy were much more pricier than the supermarket located also at same ground level.
Supermarket sells discounted bentos at night so take the chance to grab some supper here.
We liked the value for money food at Saizeriya. However, the non-smoking section is also together with the smoking section such that the smoke is spread over to non-smoking tables. For those sensitive to cigarette smoke, you might need to take note when dining in Saizeriya. It's situated at a quiet corner, tucked away outside the mall.
There's a Disney store which isn't too big imho and probably the range of goods were either not wide enough or already snapped up earlier part of the day since we were there at 6pm on a Tuesday.
There's Lowrys Farm among many other clothing stores.
Maihama train station is right next to Ikspiari so locating this mall is not an issue.
Walking from Maihama train station will lend one at Bob Voyage shop where one can get some Tokyo Disneyland souvenirs. Do note that DisneySea items are not available in Bon Voyage shop. So remember to get yours when you are in DisneySea.

This park competes with its neighbor Tokyo Disney, in some ways no contest, although it is worth a stop if you are in the area, with its Sea Life Park, Beaches, Japanese garden and lotus pond. It has wonderful walking paths (unlike Disney), a huge ferris wheel, the largest in Japan, and actually operating, it offers birdwatching, more. I walked through it from Disney and in the direction of Sky Tree

Nearest Train station is Kiyosumi-shirakawa Station (清澄白河駅) . Please exit from A3 and got elevator reach the street level . Inside train station got some displays / information on Fukagawa Edo Museum .
I never know what is that cat name ( Mamesuke , cat of roll house ) on that display until i purchased a guide book from that museum.
Museum distance about 10mins and it located inside a neighborhood area.
This building seems share with community neighbourhood office . Please do not walk into wrong entrance.

My experience :
- I have a pleasant experience especially a volunteer lady guide offer explanation to us . I forget ask for her name but her knowledge is very excellent .
- It is very surprise that air ventilation system created by edo people. I asked what is the function and how to operate it . That volunteer lady guide demonstrate and further explanation .
- There are some symbol on those door. actually similar like modern signboard. Telling us what is service that building provided.
- Want to know how many people stay inside the building. Approach a volunteer guide and they are happy share the knowledge with u
- At least two type of raincoated (reproduction) used by edo people . You can touched it and you will notice material is different .
Suggestion to museum:
- Display more explanation so that people had better understanding.
- Display some character sign board so that people take picture with it.
- Hope can increase the varieties of souvenirs .
- Possible get some vest behind printed " volunteer guide" on it . so that visitors able to identify them and seek assist .
