Arrived on a rainy, muddy day and did not know the only access was via a muddy dirt trail. So....we viewed from a distance. Enjoyed he walk through the old town square, the small stream and the churches.

The whole place is just beautiful. You can visit small villages all around the Zumberak hills in a car, but the best way to experiance this beautiful nature is on a bike.
Maybe it wouldn't be the easiest way because here the road is all up and down but it's worth it.
You can also go hiking, there are many trails to go on foot.

It was such a greeeeat day out in the Mountains! Started from Samobor, uphill to Slani Dol to have some great domestic food, and continuing to Japetic for a beautiful view on the valley and close Mountains.
Hrvoje is a great guide with pretty good knowledge and enthusiasm about the area and cycling.

Another trip, we(my wife and I) undertook with my wife's cousins, was the journey to Samobor.
That is a very nice town, only 25 kilometres away from Zagreb, in the direction to the west, near the border with the Republic of Slovenia. It belongs to the District of Zagreb.
While we were strolling on the streets of Samobor, we've seen a lot of very good restaurants, bars, cafes, the beautiful green lawns in the center of this town,a little stream, flowing
on some reach, through the body of the town, near the Church of Saint Anastazia. Here,in front of this church, we chose to take a rest in a small Bor bar, with the tables and benches, placed to the top of stone medieval wall, and above of the course of the flowing stream. A very cozy place
indeed, between the two Bridges, one of wood, and another of stone, where we took some drinks and delightful desserts. By the way, Samobor is renown all over Croatia for its gastronomy, natural surroundings, medieval atmosphere and the crystal cutting. The square of the King Tomislav is the very core of a town and always frequented by the visitors and locals.
When You are in Zagreb, don't miss the occasion to be in this beautiful town.

This church dominates the lovely town ov Samobor, easily reached from the square. It is handsome from the outside, but the inside is visible only through a locked glass door, as if Christianity is a 'thus far, no further' religion, which it most certainly is not. A very high pulpit is significant
