The restaurant of Attila Molnár and Szása Nyíri is waiting for their guests for more than 20 years already.Arany Kaviár is considered one of the best fine dining restaurants. They improve Russian cuisine. They prepare traditional dishes with contemporary methods, the way we like them. For five years the restaurant is recommended by the Michelin guide.Accordingly, one of the cornerstones of the menu is the “Traditional Russian cuisine”, the true and worthy representatives of the classic cuisine of the court of the Czars. The dishes are based on traditional Russian recipes, preserving their authentic feel, but are prepared with modern techniques and ingredients. The dishes are not reinvented, but improved. The other pillar of the menu is the wide selection of marine and Freshwater “Fish dishes”, and their diverse compilations. The premium quality and year-round availability of domestic fishes are guaranteed by our close cooperation with fisheries; and our carefully selected seafood is supplied by the fish market of Strasbourg. The third and most important pillar of the menu is the “Caviar Gourmet Menu”, and the Caviar Card, listing the caviars produced and distributed by the restaurant and the dishes prepared with them, thus demonstrating the versatility of the culinary utilization of caviar. The Arany Kaviár Gourmet Selection has represented and conveyed the philosophy and values of the restaurant within and outside its walls. The “Hungarian caviar” successfully debuted on the international market in 2011. On the largest and most prestigious hospitality exhibition, the SIRHA in Lyon, world-renowned chefs sampled Arany Kaviár’s product.
We dined at this magnificent restaurant at the start of our visit to Budapest. We were warmly greeted on our arrival and shown to our lovely table. The interior décor of this restaurant is rather lovely. After dining here, we were impressed by the quality of the food we had. The caviars were absolutely delicious, every mouthful was like a taste of paradise. The food was of a first class, as everything was seasoned beautifully to give amazingly fresh, delicious, natural flavours. The ingredients used tasting so fresh, there was a feeling of Eastern Europe was in our mouths. The tastes and flavours were sensational and natural. My wife enjoyed her fish dish, tasting so fresh and authentic in it's flavours, it felt as though it was a catch of the day, seasoned, cooked and served direct to her plate. The wines accompanying our meals were of a very good quality. The service was great with wonderful waiting staff. All in all it was a perfect start to our visit to Budapest, and we left extremely happy with our dining experience here, which was like a one night in heaven.

Baraka is a fine dining restaurant creating gourmet Euro-Asian dishes located in the beautiful Palazzo Dorottya very close to Vörösmarty Square. Our cocktail bar serves Asian accented cocktails in an informal atmosphere.
Perfect restaurant, staff were perfect from the moment we walked through the door. The food was certainly worthy of a Michelin star and u would be surprised if they weren't awarded one. The taster menu was just wonderful, so many courses and each one perfect as was the wine

Comme Chez Soi is an Traditional Italian restaurant.Goose liver specialities.Serving Italian and Hungarian dishes following family's recipes.
If you see 4500+ rave reviews of a place, you know it’s gonna hit the right spot!! And it did!!! I’ll add that this was by far the best meal we had in Budapest. The food, service, freebies, wine, dessert wine, dessert and chef Roberto himself- everything is 100% outstanding. We were lucky we went for an early dinner at 6pm and got a table, else people book MUCH in advance. Towards the end of our meal, we saw most people being turned down at the door. Coming to the food- we had the pasta trio which was delicious. All the 3 types of pasta were excellent. We were also given bread and a tomato mozzarella and ham antipasti (complimentary) to go with our glasses of red wine. For dessert, we ordered tiramisu, which was HUGE And SO DELICIOUS, knowing little that they serve a lemon sorbet and chocolate alongside Hungarian sweet wine - also complimentary!! Wow!! But we thoroughly enjoyed our tiramisu nevertheless. Pls note that they charge 1100 forint as service charge, but you get more than your money’s worth. The service was awesome and so was the cozy ambience. The restaurant is a little small and tight but you’ll manage fine. I don’t know how much more to recommend this place. It’s probably one of the more memorable meals I’ve ever had while travelling. Pls pls pls go here. You’ll definitely be happy :)

I visited this restaurant for a lunch on a weekday. I had not reserved a table ahead of time, but they accommodated me and I was promptly seated.
The menu is traditionally Hungarian. I ordered the Goulash.
Portion was the right size, hot, hearty and very tasty. Glass of cold beer has complemented it splendidly.
My lunch meal was very satisfying and very reasonably priced. I’ll be returning soon.

Visit us and we'll show you how we are inspired by the books! If you do not want to miss your favorite book, come every week!
We came here on our first night and were not disappointed. The atmosphere, food and staff were absolutely fantastic. We loved the book-themed menu/feel of the place (didn't click that 'Konyv' was book in Hungarian until the waiter explained!). The food was traditional whilst also refined and not at all heavy. We enjoyed three courses each and whilst this was our priciest meal in Budapest, it was more than worth the money. I would definitely recommend this - it should be number 1 on Trip Advisor

Have you ever tried a real 'goulash'? Do you know if 'palinka' is drunk as an aperitif or a digestive? To find out the answer to these questions, and to discover many other interesting things that no guide book will tell you, come and join one of the dinners. Traditional Hungarian cuisine with homey flavours based on family recipes! A gastro-adventure, giving you a taste of real, not touristic! Local cuisine and culture and an insight to a Hungarian family's life!
Visited Suzie on our first evening in Budapest, and although we were a little later than booked, Suzie and the other guests gave us all a warm welcome (there were 5 of us). We were given a home made Hungarian pear spirit liqueur as an appetiser which was actually very good then on to the marvellous 3 course meal (soup, chicken and a lovely light dessert cake) with a different wine to compliment each course. Cannot fault the choice of food or cooking and the portions were very generous!
Suzie was a lovely host and we all thoroughly enjoyed our evening with her and would not hesitate to recommend Eat & Meet to anybody else thinking of taking a trip to Budapest.
