Quick service , excellent lasagna, very good home made rolls with cheese(pecivo). A bit difficult to find as the place is hidden behind the old petrol station, but very close to bus station and city center.

This place is known for great beefsteaks! With green pepper, truffles or wraped in bacon and reduced balsamic... choose any, you won't be wrong.
Tried also, beside beefsteaks, various food (pasta..) on a wedding there - different kind of food ofc, but it really was the best wedding dinner ever.

I visited Samobor during the carnival this January on business. The town was crowded with people so I chose this restaurant - close to the center square but with it's own parking lot. It was recommended by a friend of mine so I decided to try it.
Me and my companions reserved table few hours earlier from Zagreb and when we came there was a table reserved for us.
So we ordered a mushroom soup first and when it came we couldn't believe the portion we got. Barely managed to eat half of bowl, when our deer and wild boar stew (paprikaš) came with croquettes. It was so much food that we could have fed additional 3 person for sure. Also, it was very good and tasty. The salad we ordered was too much and also enough for 2 adult vegetarians to eat as a proper meal.
The service was a bit on a slow side and the place is a bit shabby, but the home atmosphere and the food, in this case, was the key of our satisfaction. Would eat here again, any time!

So pretty town, I just love it. Peaceful also. Kremšnite - served warm, they are fluffy and creamy. To avoid stomach ache eat them cold or take a risk. :)

Traditional Croatian and Samobor cuisine
My wife and I were visiting in the neighborhood and decided to drop in here based upon the generally good reputation of this establishment. It was a VERY GOOD decision!! The menu is not one that tries to do everything, which already tells me that the do well what they prepare. If you love veal and desert pancakes, you will love this place! A large parking lot, belies the modest entry way across the street. But once inside, you see that the place has a capacity to serve a large demand. Quaint, yet discrete in interior design, the place has a natural charm that makes one feel at ease. The staff are relaxed and engaging, with an appropriate amount of humor, as well as informative regarding the fare offered. The owner and chef are very clever in that they offer a variety of options on basic themes. Where else can you find 2 pages, or about 45 different versions of palecenka? My wife ordered one of the sausage, njoke, krumpir, and sour kraut delights. I stuck to the basic strong suit herein of veal in mushroom sauce, and a mushroom soup. We were both delighted with the outcome. Calm, but not blaring music in the background, an appropriately attentive wait staff, and and absolutely delicious meal. Can;t ask for a better evening meal than this anywhere. We will return.....over and over again!

This restaurant is situated on the road between Samobor and the village of Otrusevec, in a quiet surroundings. Unfortunately, rude staff (I think it was the owner) ruined our experience, as well as did the prices - once the bill was handed over. This is toooo expensive for a domestic food, without high price ingredients or elaborate cooking techniques.

located in the city centre of Samobor, offers vide range of different dishes, local croatian cousine, barbecue, Traditional Croatian Pit Roasting.....
We arrived at 16.30 and half of the menu wasn't available: no Turkey, no minced meat, no goulash, no sausages, no cucumbers.
So we ordered filled pork with potatoes and green pasta with salmon. Pork ok but nothing special. Potatoes with onion tasteless. Salmon cery dry and the sauce with some weird sour aftertaste.

Not every place where beer is served on draught is a pub. A true pub is the Samobor pub. A roomy cellar space with vaulted ceilings in which everything, from beer glasses big and small, to dark or light ale with rich white froth become more coveted and desirable.Located in the centre of Samobor, with a large car park, Samoborska pivnica is a favourite haunt of beer-lovers from all around. However, even the best of beers will call for a tasty bite before it is sipped. At Samoborska pivnica they are well aware of this, so they offer all the best dishes to accompany your beer. The menu is varied indeed, with emphasis on home-made Samobor specialities. After Samobor smoked cheese, garlic sausages with mustard or grape mustard, after veal-knuckle with baked potato-halves (which have made the pub famous), the visitor will no doubt crave another sip.An especially attractive setting, an excellent selection of food and drinks, occasional music Performances, have contributed in making this pub loved and popular. They are also reasons why wedding parties, business dinners and other festivities are arranged here. Suffice it to mention the christening of the grape must on St. Martin's Day with its special “rules”. This is a special experience at the Samobor pub. That's why the people, after a long search for a right place to take their family or their friends to, end up in the cellar of Samoborska pivnica.
To our surprise this restaurant was nearly deserted at lunch time on a week day. We found the service excellent, the food delicious, and the prices good. It is clean and attractive, inside and out. We wonder why there weren't more customers. We highly recommend it.
The restaurant apparently is part of a hotel, which we did not investigate but suppose is high quality, too.

We had a difficult time finding a restaurant for lunch on our day trip to Samobor (bus from Zagreb). The large square was absolutely full of fast food type places and coffee cafes. However, on a short walk up a street past the square we found Restoran Kod Mrve. It has outdoor Seating under a covered patio; the side was covered by grape vines and it was next to a creek. We each had the chicken skewers with fried potatoes and a salad. A simple but delicious meal! The chicken was juicy and well seasoned. The potatoes were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The salad was pretty basic but large. I tried to eat every bite but the portions were extremely generous.
The server was very friendly and did a good job.
