This is certainly an amazing place to visit. We came twice in February and loved every second we were there. The animals are in fantastic condition and really well looked after. The owners/staff were incredibly knowledgeable and very friendly and welcoming.
Cant wait to visit again in a few weeks and see our wonderful adopted hawk Eddie!

Absolutely fabulous place to visit. Our first one but it came highly recommended. Absolutely lovely place and the animals and birds so well looked after - you can tell the staff really live the creatures. Never seen such unusual monkeys- really stunning and very reactive to people. Owls beautiful. The meerkats funny and the talk really good. Great to be able to hold the cornsnake. Staff so friendly and willing to help and answer questions. Lovely setting and all the enclosures so beautiful.
They are really trying to save so many beautiful creatures and need support to do so. Do visit - 7 day return visits

Stopped by here earlier today. What a wonderful, wonderful place. Greeted at the gate by a lovely lady who gave us some history of the sanctuary and how it's organised. And then those gorgeous creatures.
Signage is excellent (full of warmth and humour) and the love for the donkeys is obvious throughout the entire place. All donkeys have colour-coded collars with their names on and they are adorable. Bought a cook book in the shop. The cafe looked lovely.
We will be back and will recommend to all our friends who visit!

Our first trip to Shanklin Theatre was a brilliant experience, the staff are all friendly, the venue is clean and very well looked after. The show was fantastic all of the band were very professional, and there is no getting away from the fact the Garry Mullen is as close to Freddie Mercury as you could ever hope to get. His voice and mannerisms are amazing. Have already booked to go to the theatre for two comedian Performances, really looking forward to them both.

We started our journey on time and it was a pleasant trip through the country side. We had the impression that the mince pie would be served on-route, but carriages did not have a corridor so we realised we were wrong. We had to get off the train and join a very long queue which most of us on our trip did not think it worth the effort.
Health and safety. The windows on the train were jammed and did not open. When we reached our destination we could NOT open the doors to get out, they too had jammed. My worry is- What if there had been a crash of some kind with no exit??

Adgestone Vineyard

England's oldest vineyard offering a great time for the whole family. Vineyard and cellar tours with beautiful sea views. Treasure hunt for the children. Wine tasting, licensed cafe, Bed and Breakfast and more. Come and relax at Adgestone Vineyard.

This was our first visit to an English vineyard and one we will never forget. It was a gloriously sunny day in September when we went to Adgestone Vineyard, before the grapes had been picked for wine making. It was a beautiful sight seeing hundreds of green and black grapes hanging from the vines. We took our time walking amongst the vines as we listened to the history of Adgestone and the origin of the grapes, from an audio guide. At the end of the tour which included the cellars and the machinery involved in wine making, we were invited to sample a variety of wines. At the completion of the wine tasting session we were so delighted with the excellent quality of the wines, we bought several bottles to take home.
A word of warning, these wines are quite potent and I got a little tipsy just sampling them !! We had a wonderful day at Adgestone and great value for money. We highly recommend this vineyard on the beautiful Isle of Wight.

We didn't ride ourselves but our children did and they loved it.
For us, it was great communication from this riding school. They checked the tide tables and recommended a good day and time for a beach ride. It was indeed a lovely day.
Hats, boots and vests were included in the price - £28 per child. Service was friendly and informative.
We would recommend this riding school.

Organised a two hour trip with the 'Fossil Man' on a beautifully sunny day on a dropping tide. My wife is not the keenest on digging about with stones but at the end of the trip she was a convert.
I have been interested in fossils all my life and am 61 years of age and there is a pun in there somewhere.
The day started with crystal hunting amongst the pebbles, an introduction to the strata and geological history of the island and finished with dinosaur footprints. It was interesting on many levels and our guide was a Fountain of new knowledge with topics that were new to me. Brilliant few hours and for my wife to be convinced as well was a bonus. Highly recommended and came away with some new fossils for my collection.
