Modern European cuisine in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. We combine the classics with contemporary cuisine using fresh, local, seasonal ingredients where possible.
The Christmas menu was amazing. Our large group booking was made to feel very welcome. Despite there being nearly 30 of us, our meals came out at the same time, hot and completely delicious. The staff were fantastic. A five star experience and I would highly recommend.

A fully re-furbished restaurant that has played host to a Thai restaurant and more notably Murray's which was a Portsmouth institution for many years. The former chapel for Portsmouth Grammar School has been delicately restored to a modern, sharp and elegant venue for fine dining.
We are fortunate to have this gem of a restaurant on our doorstep. Consistently beautiful food and outstanding service means we keep coming back.
The menus consist of many dishes, each carefully thought through and look gorgeous - so much so that it feels a shame to actually eat them! If you worry that you will be hungry because it is fine dining, worry not.
Wines are great and not too pricey with a team who are happy to advise on the best choices.
Get yourself in this restaurant, you won’t regret it.

Family run, traditional english cafe serving fresh homecooked food, with a view to providing meat, vegetarian and vegan options.
Came here with colleagues when visiting for business and on their recommendation, great cafe which was busy (we got the last table). Usual British food especially breakfast which looked great, I opted for the shepherd's pie special which ame with freshly cooked veg and was delicious! Very friendly and welcoming staff, very reasonable value at under £10 for lunch. Highly recommended and I shall return.

Went with friends and family and were glad we booked they were turning away a lot of people it’s a small place!
The service was ok
The food was lovely....
But my main course came 10 minutes before the rest of the table which was frustrating for all.
It’s a squash inside this place but great atmosphere
Would return

Experience the very best of both modern and traditional Indian cuisine from some of the great regions of the sub-continent. Served in a vibrant contemporary atmosphere by prompt, efficient and friendly staff.
Ordered a takeaway at 18.10 was told it would take 1 hour 10 to deliver. After an hour and half I rang and asked what the problem was as I was still waiting. Gotthe excuse that they were busy and could only estimate Delivery time. 5 minutes later the Delivery arrived!! Same excuse they were busy.
As we usually enjoy the food from this restaurant I normally let it go and wouldn't be writing this review. Unfortunately the food was at best Luke warm and the naan breads were stone cold. I could have complained to the restaurant direct but no doubt they would have said they were busy.
This is the second time that this has happened so will not be using the Delivery service again.

Five of us met up here to exchange presents and have a lunch. As always the staff were cheerful and friendly, every time we go here nothing is too much and they are really helpful.
We all had something quite different and ate off of three separate menus and that didn't include the Christmas menu which admittedly was tempting! (wide range of choices).
Two ate off the lighter lunch menu, two off the '2 for 14' menu and one went it alone including starter. All the food was excellent, well cooked and fair to big portions.
I dont want too many people going here but it is:
Good service, good food and good prices!

Visited for a family meal. Absolutely 1st class. Very friendly and efficient staff. The starters were very imaginative, particularly the scallops and black pudding. Food to a good standard. The cauliflower cheese was above average. Pricing reasonable. Main courses complimented. A walk around was quite interesting. Lovely views from the upper decks. Would certainly come back again.

Evening meal with friends. Been here before. When we arrived it was a very cold evening and the bar and restaurant were cold. Informed by the person behind the bar that 'there was nothing they could do about it, as they can't change the heating' in a not very welcoming way.
Ordered starters and mains. They are trying to do tapas style thing but its not really working. Tapes has to be done really well or it's just random bits of stuff.
Just all a bit bland. My wife;s pork and garlic paté was pretty horrid. It was just chopped up pork, neither paté or even a terrine.
For mains I had the 'pork chops' (the plural being the advertised meal on the menu) to get one pork chop, pretty average, nothing I couldn't cook at home.
Puddings were disappointing. Sticky toffee pudding is not a slice of brownie with a blob of ice-cream.
Our friend asked for three scoops of ice cream, this was a fairly major deal at point of order and then got two on his plate, followed by another scoop in a ramekin which they charged an extra £2.50 for.
Was all just a bit odd.
In regards for service, our bill had the name 'Little Chloe' on it. I think this was the younger blonde waitress who was really good and made us feel at home. The other waitress (who came across as being the manager?) was very blunt and unfriendly and gave the impression that customers are just an inconvenience.
All in all, very average, food you could cook yourself at home, some good service, some poor and pretty uninspiring experience and not cheap.
Would I go back?......probably not, its not a destination restaurant, it's convenient as our friends have a boat in Haslar Marnia.

Authentic Mexican, Caribbean and other cultural food as well as English Cafe favourites. Food available to eat in or take away. Based in Gosport, Hampshire.
hadnt been here for a while, thought i would take my children here for linch. to be honest wish i hadn't bothered the food was awful and over priced.
bacon roll no butter dry burnt bacon.
the pulled pork was dry.
all not particularly well presented
the burger was ok
the sweet potato fries and onion rings were nice.
there appears to be a change in ownership, and a decline in standards i hope things go back to how they were soon.
