Visitors interested in original Brac wine tasting and olive oil tasting are welcomed in a traditional setting of old stone houses, which includes old fashioned wine cellar, ethno house and wine garden. Along with our high quality wine Plavac Mali Franulic we offer a range of other products: various grappas, olive oil and olives, anchovies, domestic cheese, capers, rock samphire, etc.
We called the winery if we could come that day, and they were really flexible with the time of our arrival. Last minute, two friends wanted to join and this was no problem. When we arrived we could choose where we wanted to sit, all...MoreHello Irini and thank you for sharing your impressions. We appreciate all the positive feedback and hope we will meet again in the future for another wine tasting. Cheers!

Lovrečina cove is situated on the northern part of the island of Brač, between Postira and Pučišće, known for its large sandy beach and precious archaeological sites. The remains of the St. Lawrence basilica from the 5th and 6th century can be found in Lovrečina and local pilgrims from the surrounding places visit it on the feast day of St. Lawrence, August 10. You can reach the cove by boat and by car.
We have spent a nice afternoon at the beach. There is a simple restaurant, with a full drinks menu bar directly at the beach. Large parking (20kn) is also available, just the street is a little steaper and one way only.Dear, thank you for your kind review! We hope to see you again :)

On my first day on Brac island, I was looking for a good place to watch the sunset and wandered by the mausoleum. I didn't go in, but was impressed with the structure. I realized it was a cemetery of some sort, but had to go back and read about it to find out what it was.

My husband & I visited this museum during a bus tour of the Island of Brac and found it quite interesting. It has sculptures, urns and other artifacts dating from ancient times, when Greek and Roman settlements occupied the island. It also has objects from more recent centuries, showing the way of life of the people who lived here.

Had great holiday with walking leaders Angela and Vic Blundell. Footsteps in Croatia. Did not have t think about anything. They organized transport to and from walks. So informative with history of country. And really put their energy into making the group of 14 holiday enjoyable. Thankyou. Highly recommended.

We are glad to know you enjoyed your time on the island Brač, and hope to see you again. There is a lot of work treasure you can still discover in our gallery.

The pretty seaside town of Pucisca on the Croatian island of Brac has a high school which also teaches stonemason skills. The white stone on this island has been used since Roman times and was even used at the White House in America.
Every year two classes of 25 students are accepted to do either a three or four year stonemason course in addition to their normal secondary education. There is even a student hostel. We were able to look around the two workshops and were most impressed with the work of students.

We visited the Museum along with the group in a tour.
They went out of their way to provide us with the information regarding how olive oil was made.
The museum of oil presents the traditional process of olive oil production on the island Brac. The museum of oil exhibits olive mill, olive press, spindle for tightening press screw, bags, fireplace for heating the water and all traditional tools for transport, production and storage of olive oil.
The museum of olive oil also shows paintings by academic painter Hana-Marta Jurčević Bulić and sculptures made by mag. sculptor Đani Martinić, presenting workers in the olive oil industry, in an interesting way.

Been twice and my second experience of Supetar has been disgusting. Everywhere has no set of customer service, the only smile you get out of anyone is if you hand them money. Have never experienced people so ignorant and rude in my entire life. Restaurants have us qaiting 20 minutes and never returning causing us to get up and leave money on the table or just ignore us. Studenac service do not even acknowledge you and slam change down onto the counter. The people there while rude are also horrid, sitting in a cocktail bar in the evening only to have a bunch of youngsters take several photos of us and laugh. There is also very little to do other than eat and drink and lie on sunbeds it seems, no attractions other than sports, fun!
Everywhere also seems a bit shabby around the edges and the people dont seem to care, there is no pride in anything in Supetar, service a prime example.
You'll only get good service in the hotel, where we have enjoyed a few meals. I could go on, but its really not worth it.
