Stopped by Palute for lunch whilst visiting Brac for the day. Lovely location with nice views over the harbour.
I enjoyed the monkfish which had great flavour, although it was slightly overdone for my taste. The roasted vegetables were a really nice addition and everything was well seasoned.

Whether it's because they weren't expecting such a big lunchtime crowd or just poor judgment on the quantities, they ran out of fish halfway through our meal. Other tables fared worse than us. At least we'd had a salad by the time only one of our main courses came. I got so fed up that I went to shop in the supermarket next door whilst husband waited for his meal.
The quality of the fish was great but the chips were an odd shape and texture and the boiled spuds, which the Croatians seem to serve with everything, were overcooked.
Friendly but harassed service by the one waiter.
More staff, and fish, required.

What makes tavern Kopacina so unique, is original Brač cuisine, especially Brač lamb specialties. Sheep s cheese, skuta, genuine Brač «vitalac», and famous lamb on a spit are some of our best specialties. All sorts of “peka” meals, international meat dishes, fresh fish and seafood, roasted potatoes…Besides the cozy atmosphere of a tavern which can accommodate up to sixty people, there is a beautiful Terrace on a sunny side of “Kopacina”.Tavern “Kopacina” can organize all sorts of celebrations, weddings, birthdays, baptism, reunions, and business lunches, formal dinners and all sorts of parties.
Went to this restaurant after Reading good reviews but I've been to much better on the island of Brać. This place was average in food quality and staff and lacked a nice atmosphere. The waiter was incredibly rude and stressed and we could not understand him (although we speak Croatian) . The food was ok but we had a far superior meal in restaurant Ranć in Bol for the same money. If you want experience the real traditional food of the island go to Ranć not kopacina. Also a little place called Restaurant Dora in Suitivan. I've been coming to Brac for 40 years so I know

Gospodnetić family will walk you through the history of the house, while a home-made, authentic cuisine will offer a unforgettable gourmet delight. Dol and renaissance konoba are the perfect choice for everyone who wants to taste real and authentic Dalmatia.<br>On our agro-tourism we prepare our food on traditional way, so the reservation is welcomed. As farmers we spend lot of the time on field, so if you don’t want to find our door closed, or help us with vinyard or hilling, call us and we will gladly help you as best as we can!
The castle is really beautiful Brač rich family house from the XIX century
Restaurant is pleasent ( to reserve seats before) and prices are OK.
The bread however is industrial as a side, although they make their own for the starters.
Order starter menue with olive paste as you wait.
Lamb is good however needs more chilli (probably this is due to local recipe)
The only problem is the road to the house which is narrow and steep.
Be very careful!

We visited this restaurant based on reviews over here and I can say that we had a terrible experience. We where very unsure what to order since we arrived, because the service wasn't good and we ordered two hamburgers, which where terrible. You expect to eat decent food at a restaurant, but that's not the case over here. The hamburger was that simple, as somebody without any experience has done it.
Never again.

The restaurant was recommended by the local tourist information office. When we arrived for lunch on a very hot day the restaurant was empty (almost as if they weren't expecting anyone) but the staff were very warm and accommodating and quickly set us a table in the air conditioned section of the restaurant. The restaurant soon filled up and the staff were equally attentive to us all. The food was simple, we both had the lamb which was tender, we also weren't disappointed with the portions. The decor was quaint and a pleasant place to spend time in a cool environment. The meal was a modest price (unfortunately I don't remember how much now) in comparison to other places we ate during our trip. Definitely a must visit if you visit Brac.

Konoba Luš is a nice open-air restaurant in a garden, covered by olive trees. You sit on a Terrace, surrounded by a stone wall, covered in local spice plants. Children find a playground, while waoting for the meal, while grown-ups shorten the time with a glass of homemade wine.
We started with soup, sampled fish and steak, finishing with home made sweets. The freshly caught seabass was perfect, the steak was very tender, even when ordered more on the bloody side of medium done. The home made traditional Dalmatian cake was just as your Island born Croatian grandmother would have done it. The fish soup was rich in fish with a smooth taste and one of the best in my 20 years of travelling the 1000 Islands of Dalmatia.
Friendly staff complete the picture.
If you are there at the right time you can even enjoy a magnificent view of the sunset over the Mainland.
This is a place I will come back asap. A lot more value for your money than in the town of Supetar.
