You’ll find plenty of orange trees here, but the fruit known as the "Valencia orange" was actually developed in California. Travelers interested in local food should focus on paella instead. While the city contains many monuments, Valencia’s modern crown jewel is the City of Arts and Sciences, a futuristic complex of museums, cinemas, theaters, and more.

Closed for holidays until 31st August. Open 1st September 2017.
It's open every day for lunch, except Sunday, and only Saturday night. A reservation is a must for Saturday night. The food was excellent. A half portion of the king prawns, as advised by a kind waitress, was perfect for a starter. The seafood soup was very good. The main courses of lamb and mushroom ravioli were also perfect portion sizes and wonderfully prepared. The service was welcoming and very professional. We would certainly return.

Excellent Argentine cuisine. Argentine delicious premium meats prepared on the grill, always accompanied by grilled vegetables and potatoes with a touch of house sauce, grilled fish or casserole, stroganoff or pepper steak, schnitzel Neapolitan (meat veal baked with tomato, ham and cheese), steak skewers, BBQ ribs, etc.. Tables of German sausages accompanied by sauerkraut, potatoes and salad. Try our special angus burgers 250g. Authentic beef.
We made Reservations for this place based on it's popularity on Trip Advisor. Being tourists, means we ate ahead of the local Valencians so we probably could have gotten away with not doing so.
Service was friendly, although not particularly quick. As for the food, Argentinian Beef seems to be a big deal in Spain. Not entirely sure why. My partner is a vegetarian who came to the restaurant to appease me I think. We declined on their house special (a large steak that we could share) because of this, which was probably a good thing. I asked for my steak medium rare, and it came out much more rare than Im used to. It tasted good, but I ended up leaving the middle of the steak because it was undercooked.
The next day we ended up staying in because I was having stomach issues. Hard to say it was the steak, although watching them parade the raw meat around (they show you the steaks before hand) and given the relative rawness of the steak, it does have me wondering. Perhaps if I was local, I could have handled it better.
The place did fill up after a while and the rest of the meal tasted great. The price was decent too, given it being a steakhouse. Maybe this place is very popular with locals. For me, I would select another restaurant that ranks top 20 on TA and probably skip the steak.

The menu at Ricard Camarena Restaurant (Michelin Star and three Repsol Suns) is a successful combination of taste, absolute respect for the product, an understated creative cuisine grounded in tradition with cosmopolitan and Mediterranean influences and based on seasonal produce. Ricard Camarena's cuisine is highly personal, simple in appearance yet complicated in elaboration. The chef's culinary soul shows through in developing his creativity without any superfluous elements that could get in the way of what he wishes to transmit in each one of his dishes.
We thought this was an excellent restaurant.
There is no actual menu, you just choose between six, eight or eleven main courses and before that you get numerous appetisers. They use only the freshest produce that is in season and you don’t know what’s coming. Normally I would prefer to choose but I needn’t have worried as everything that came was delicious
We went for the six main courses option.
The evening started in the bar where we got the first four appetisers which included a yummy chicken broth. We were then taken to our table in the restaurant and were seated at a table where we could watch the chefs at work.
All the appetisers and mains that followed were beautifully presented and delicious as were the pre desert and actual desert. We couldn’t fault anything about the meal.
We chose a local red wine that was first class,
The service was outstanding and helped to make this one of the most memorable meals we’ve had..

Hi! You can find us in Salamanca Road, 8, Canovas Area of Valencia. Our pub is a place where you can have many delicious cocktails made with fresh fruit and the best ingredients. We have a menu with more than 35 different cocktails and many gins to taste if you prefer a gin & tonic. Everything we do is elaborated and made with love. We really care about our customers and we work to make you enjoy every minute with us. Our pub is a friendly place, not very big but nobody needs a huge place to enjoy. This is our philosophy, enjoy the moment, no matter where, it matters how. We wait for you!!
Their menu has every cocktail you can imagine and I'd recommend everything I've ordered there, especially the piña coladas and Japan iced tea. The bartenders are friendly and nice and the bar is small but has a cozy atmosphere, and there is also outdoor Seating.Muchísimas Gracias por tu comentario Melanie!! Vuelve pronto ;)

We thought everything about this restaurant was exceptional.
We found it easily in a great, central location inside the very trendy but peculiarly named Hotel One Shot Mercat!
The welcome was warm, the room is fabulous, the staff could not have been more helpful and charming.
A glass of champagne is always a good start and this one was included in the price of the tasting menu which we thought was fantastic value at €55 per head.
Each dish was brimming with creativity and deliciousness!!
We gather that the chef, Rekel, is a Masterchef winner in Spain and we were not at all surprised.
We have dined at many Michelin starred restaurants (at twice or three times the price) but Karak rates with the best of them as a great dining experience.
Thank you TA reviewers for steering us to Karak.

Smart restaurant in the heart of Valencia with authentically Italian food, specialty in our homemade fresh pasta and all desserts. Best pizza in Valencia. Extensive wine list and Italian appetizer. Premium Gins and other beveragues.
Based on previous reviews we were excited at the prospect of enjoying a relaxing evening at this restaurant, so much so that we booked for another evening in addition to the first one due to it's popularity.
We enjoyed the food which in essence reflects our overall rating for the evening, however we had to contend with noisey staff members having confrontations and a workman using equipment to sort out some form of maintenance problem. In addition to this we ordered a bottle of wine and were advised that this was not available, the alternative offered was a a complety different variety which left us feeling confused. Clearly unfortunate situations arise but surely staff members should show some form of consideration and offer an apology.
We requested the bill from various staff members to no avail until we stood up to leave, at which point we received the said item, at this juncture we asked that our next reservation be cancelled to be told that we had to do this as we left for the bar. Following this instruction we complied and gave the reason for not requiring the second nights reservation, the staff member was not in the slightest bit interested. Was this down to arrogance and the fact they did not care due to the popularity of this restaurant or just the case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time? I have tried to rate the various categories of service, food and value on the Tripadvisor review but for some reason or another will not allow me to do so. Will of course leave it for you to decide after your visit as to how you feel

Small tiny place near Alameda station. Inconspicuous place on the plaza. The owner/manager was very friendly. We were quite lucky to get a booking the night before. They just re-open from New Years break and already very busy and buzzing for the whole lunch duration. They do have some table outside and the sun is shining. But it is January.
Food simply delicious and yummy. The stuffed pepper was a delight. And the pork belly main course was just indescribable yum.
Will definitely recommend and back.

Read the review on ta, came here for dinner, little bit far from old town, a hide away place, but food is really nice, really friendly owner. Mainly for students, but during holiday season, a lot of tourists are here, food is cheap but tasty, with limited options. We came on a Monday night, they are giving free tapas to all customers, which is a bonus!

A piece of Japan in Valencia, a Kyoto street where you can sit in a real sushi-bar to try the best Japanese cuisine. Our passion is sushi.
Arrived at opening time of 8.30, restaurant was empty but they said they were fully booked, shame they couldn't fit us in as we would have been gone by the time the Spanish normally eat. It looks lovely ?- I just hate pretentiousness

New restaurant in Valencia, speciality in rice, paella and Mediterranean cuisine. Come and meet us, we have the best prices.
Initially somewhat disappointed when I saw that the paella was only for 2 persons, but totally compensated by the friendly waitress who guided me very well through the menu. All I had to do was follow her recommendations and enjoy delicious food. Would definitely recommend...MoreHi "Bart D". Thank you very much for your comment and for recommending our restaurant. We hope you come back to visit us. A greeting
