We go here regularly to walk. They have several interwoven trails such that you can do a 1.5 km loop or a 10km loop. Trails are groomed and well marked. Several are plowed in the winter - a few are
purposely unplowed for snowshoes. It is a great place to walk your dog or walk yourself.

I remember playing in this park in the early 1970's, always impressed with the train and plane found there on display. Nothing has changed. On a recent visit to Moncton and checked out the park and had the same positive feelings all those years ago. Timeless, wonderful place to stroll or bring the kids!

This is a touching tribute to these men. It is well planned and well executed. The detail is remarkable.
The moment one approaches this monument, there is an air of peacefulness and somehow, a need for reflection. So, the memorial has achieved its goal. This is the best I have ever seen.

My wife and I enjoy wine and have visited wineries in a variety of places around North America and several European countries. We have never been in a location as far north as the Magnetic Hill Winery in Moncton and were looking forward to the experience. We got there early in the morning and were immediately impressed by the beautiful view of Moncton. The property houses a B&B , a historic smaller building being restored as an area available for small events , the main building with the gift shop and a very ambitious project that will modernize and increase the capacity of production.
We were greeted warmly by the owner and treated to a variety of wines and explanations about their cultivation and production. Northern wineries tend to be more successful with fruit based wines but she told us about working with the University of Minnesota to develop grapes that can thrive in the challenging weather.
Magnetic Hill has earned a variety of awards recognizing their excellence and seems committed to achieving even more. We took some bottles with us and noticed afterward they are also easily available in stores such as Sobey's.
We are looking forward to our next trip to the Maritimes in a couple of years and being able to see how the winery has grown.

For a smallish place like Moncton, this zoo is great. Well kept, interesting animals, friendly staff. My kids have enjoyed summer camps, as well as winter and Halloween events. A family membership is very reasonably priced, as opposed to the price for a one time visit, which I find a bit expensive!

A tidal Bore is a tidal phenomenon in which the leading edge of an incoming tide forms a standing wave of water that travels upstream, against the current of a river or narrow bay. The tidal bore in Moncton is caused when the unparalleled tides in the Bay of Fundy begin to make their way up the historic Petitcodiac River. The Bay of Fundy is home to the highest tides in the world and over 160 billion tonnes of water comes in and out of the bay each day! Twice daily, observers can watch the tidal bore as this incoming rush of water overtakes the outgoing tide in the formerly placid river.
Don't ask anyone's opinion of this natural wonder, see it for yourself. The locals aren't always kind towards their own treasures. The Peticodiac River had an amazing history of being a mighty river, with tall ships sailing in and out with the tide, commerce and ship building was the norm at the turn of the 20th. century, but it came to an end when a causeway was built across the mighty river, and choked it. The Moncton Tidal Bore, though not as mighty as days gone by, is still an amazing site to be seen. Where else, anywhere in this world, can you see an American in a wetsuit Surfing a wave on a river, with his surfboard?

My daughter is on the very edge of being tall enough for the rides. I feel that she could handle them but didn't meet the criteria. Obviously they are there for a reason but it sucked for my daughter because the kiddy slides sucked. The orange and blue one was DEATHLY SLOW and the yellow one gets really old fast. Need more slides for smaller kids.

Adults and kids (11 to 40) we all loved our afternoon. Our start time was 12:00 and we finished at 3:30. The courses are very well done but very challenging. If anyone in the group wants to quit (in between courses) it is possible to follow the group through the forest.
Bring gloves, pay the extra 2$ for water and prepare for some wait time (the groups are pretty big).
There is a little food shack in the park for well deserved ice cream at the end.

I do love a good casino. My partner and I don’t gamble much, but we’re not opposed to doing a little light gambling. After all, Casinos are meant to be good fun and not places where you hope to get rich and win big (though that can happen, too!). Casino New Brunswick is indeed a fun casino and a good place to spend a couple of hours playing slots, table games and eating some pretty decent food.
The casino itself is easy to find – the lighthouse façade shines brightly at night, beckoning locals and tourists alike to it like moths to a flame. Parking is free and ample; there’s no need to circle around and around waiting for somebody to leave (unlike a couple of Vancouver-area casinos). After you’ve parked your car, you make your inside to where the fun is: the slot machines sing loudly – with some people even winning a few dollars here and there! If the one-armed bandits aren’t your thing, Casino New Brunswick also offers up a good number of table games and poker. My partner and I tried a variety of machines, but didn’t really win anything. C’est la vie!
After playing games for a while, we started getting hungry. We’d intended to dine elsewhere, but restaurants in Moncton seem to close fairly early. So, the casino it was! On the night we visited, the feature at the buffet was its “Classic Vegas Night.” My partner and I have been to Vegas countless times. Referencing her past experience in “sin city,” she was anticipating shrimp, snow crab legs, high end steak, etc. (think Caesar’s Bacchanal Buffet). I told her, “no, it’s probably just things like mashed potatoes, fried chicken and pork chops.” She went to read the offerings on the board and came back dismayed and confirmed what I’d said: Yes, it’s just chops and that kind of thing (you see, “Vegas buffet” here is more along the lines of the cheaper buffets – one’s you’d find in the Flamingo hotel, the Circus Circus or downtown Las Vegas . . . no brioche buns here!). We didn’t go to the buffet, but I do appreciate that they have themed days. Anyway, we ended up going to the Hub City Pub, which was exceptional and featured live music (see my earlier review on this site).
After eating, we returned to the games for a short while and then called it a night. We only spent a couple of hours here, but had fun. The casino is clean; the machines are new and modern; the food is pretty decent; and they have good live entertainment, including the occasional “big” act. If you need a break, come to the fantasy world of the casino. It’s great fun! Just make sure you don’t chase your losses ;)

My wife and I recently investigated Resurgo Place and were very impressed by what is presented. Although we could see the total appeal for children , we really enjoyed our experience. The exhibits are well laid out for easy access and care has been taken not to simply fill display cases with all available material. There are some very interesting interactive exhibits and I was particularly impressed with a floor-sized map of the streets of Moncton and a creative device for exploring areas of interest around the city.
