This is top most peak available in Gulmarg city, where tourists can go and Enjoy.
Gondola service is available at base camp, which is maintained by Jammu & Kashmir Tourism Department.
There are cheaters on the name of guide and will misguide you about the same. don't believe them. They will show price list card before going to the actual place which is fake one. don't commit to them and better to choose rides after going to actual place.
Government charges for Gondola is Rs. 750/- Per Head.

This is a review in generic about Gulmarg and specific about Gondola. My intentions of writing this is not to de-popularize the city but to to warn and caution the future travellers planning to visit the city. Maybe, after Reading my review they would not have to face what I have felt.
First of all, this small city has been controlled by local guys and would not allow any outsider to do the business. So, you have to pay Rs 50 to enter the Gondola, you can not have any guide from other city but you have to take one from Gulmarg itself (Although you do not need any guide at all).
Once you reach at the top, you woul find people who would force you to sledge or to skii and other activities. These are overpriced like hell and you have tp bargain like hell to know the actual price. I paid a lot to the sledge and thus would lile to warn you all do give the actual price. Approximately you have to give one fourth what they would price for the activities.
The guide would also not tell you the actual price

If you are looking for the right person, it has to be Irfan when in Gulmarg or anywhere in Kashmir for that matter.
I did an 8 day trip which included 3 nights at Gulmarg and 2 nights each in Pahalgam and Srinagar.
Very good hotels with meals were arranged by Irfan and I had transferred only part amount before arrival.
Hotel Rosewood at Gulmarg is the best and so is Fortune resorts Heevan in Srinagar...look nowhere else.
What touched me most was the warmth and the hospitality of the people.
We were picked up from airport and someone was always there for transfer and sightseeing at all the places.
Sad that so many of us are not aware of such beautiful places in India with such beautiful people who touch your heart.
Forget Switzerland...visit Gulmarg..in our India!

Gulmarg ski resort is providing everything in Kashmir.like ski shop gondola tickets for skiers professional guides etc
Gulmarg is indeed a paradise on earth. Visited this place in march. Listed below are the pros & cons :
Pros -
1. Snow abundance - visit during march or feb for snowfall. Check weather app like AccuWeather for the dates you are thinking about for some weather disturbance, as rains in the plains mean snowfall in the upper reaches.
2. Gulmarg locals - We loved how some people really took care of us. Giving us tips and tricks to experience Gulmarg better.
3. Skiing - With so much snow u cant miss Skiing there. Rent the equipments for a day and keep doing it. It took me 3 hours to find a balance. But it's so much fun.
4. Helpful guides - We met Riyaz, a local guide. Such a helpful guide. Hire him for the days you are there and he will help with everything.
Cons :
Forceful hawkers - i know people of Gulmarg makes their money from tourism. But it's hard to say NO to hawkers. As they just dont listen to it and keep pestering you. You cant be rude so just take it as a experience. Be polite always.
Tip - Get a good guide and he will become the buffer between you and the hawker. Check weather before deciding on a date to travel. Do the skiing at Gandola first phase as the slope is gentle there for first timers. Walk around in the snow, its so much fun. Rent snow gear like boot and jacket by paying not more than Rs 100 for a day (bargain).
Best months to visit is March and april for snowfall and better climatic conditions.

We traveled outer circle on Pony ride with kids and it was great fun for kids, While over all circle through golf course was small and nothing to see during Apr because snow still melting and grass is missing so it was good during May time when it is all green valley and you see Mountains. Pony riders charges are too might and show you around 5 to 6 useless points around or self created points and I could find anything like strawberry farms or Raja Hari sing palace etc it was show from outside.
There is nice view of hills when you go in circle and come back and there is one view point which is very nice and can take beautiful pictures. Overall it was nice to see view while riding pony. I also walked around and it was much better to walk instead of ponny ride and you sit , relax , take pictures at your comfort but with kids talking around 4 km is tough so take pony ride for kids.

We visited Gulmarg in April this year and there was greenery all around with vast plains and surrounded by snow clad Mountains all around. A true nature lover can spend his entire day at this place.
Just one thing disturbing about this area is the local horse and pony vendors, they will get stick to you as a fevicol and keep on following you wherever you go until you take their pony for a ride.
If you wanna take pony for a ride do bargain a lot with them.
Also if you are in Gulmarg do visit Gondola. It is another beauty of a place

The Baba Reshi shrine is build along the grave of Sufi Saint Baba Payam uddin Reshi. The shrine is accessible by taking a detour when going from Tangmarg to Gulmarg. Its separately accessible from Baramulla as well. Its located at an altitude of 7,000 ft above sea level. He is said to be living during the period of King Zain ul Abidin of Kashmir also known as the 'Budshah'. There is an annual urs which is held and pilgrims from various areas come over.

This temple which is in the centre of Gulmarg among hotels and restaurants /shops was constructed by the wife of Maharaja Sir Hari Singh and is reached by climbing 70 steps . The best way to get there is to engage a single seater ATV outside the Gondola entrance station at a cost of Rs 1500/hour which enables trav ellers to stop for a while at the scenic strawberry valley as well . It is a very small temple with Shiva as the main deity . You get beautiful views of the Affarvat trange of Mountains from the temple as well as of Gulmarg below . As some travellers have pointed out here before, the temple became famous after the song in the Rajesh Khanna-Mumtaz starrer Hindi movie "Aap ki Kasam" was recorded here in the 70s .

We loved the views ..... Very peaceful indeed...... The church is not very big though.....but suits good in the locality.....Nice place. Beaurtiful church. It looks like an abandon building. From afar it looks ok so i only took a look from a distance and took some photos. However the greenery around the building was good.

This is completely useless and lots of horse riding people will mention 7 point view ride and 10 point ride which was complete useless and people are making fool. children park was closed and there was nothing inside special which I can see and nothing unique to visit and might be useful for local kids to go to 1 garden .
I will suggest to avoid this part from list as there is nothing.
