The valley of Kashmir is as rich with history and political controversy as it is with culture and natural phenomena. Sample exquisitely spiced native cuisines and festive teas, then walk off your meal along the rugged trekking routes to the north. Marvel at the famous houseboats of Srinagar and take a spiritual moment to reflect at one of the many pilgrimage sites and religious shrines that dot the region. Of course, native craftsmanship makes for excellent souvenirs—carpets and textiles are an especial shopping must.

Family Restaurant
Highly recommended. it has amazing food. I suggest ordering a Trout Fish dish. One can also try any of their non veg preparations. Its dal facing restaurant thought you can't see much of it from inside. it has parking. definitely worth a visit

It's first restaurant inside the Srinagar that full-fill my requirements with great collections of Food specially Non-Veg. Some pretty solid butter chicken at Ahdoo's - it was delicious. Fine place to eat in Srinagar's city center. If u wanna try traditional wazwan and kashmiri food, this is the place recommended for you.

Cafe Log Inn on the main road adjacent to Pahalgam hotel with local decor & memorabilia for coffee, eateries & conversation serves variety of cakes, pastries, muffins, pizza, pasta, cheese etc to go along with array of coffee, flavored teas & kashmiri kehwa. A must visit while you are in Pahalgam!
By seeing the interior looks like a rustic hill station cafe.
But the food and service does not match up to what it looks like.
This place is just good for coffee and cookies, which are really nice.
We ordered pizza momos Chinese salad all of which were very average. Not worth going

Cafe Troutbeat on main road adjacent to Pahalgam hotel for impressive array of Rainbow/ Brown trout & veg combo meals. Authentic recipes with fresh river water trout from local river Lidder & variety of veg combo meals for the vegetarians.
If trouts are their USP then they should be made to perfection.
We ordered 2 different dishes of trout and both were deep fried with too much of oil floating aroundand of average taste. The chef didnt seem to care.Asked for garlic bread with it and looked and tasted nothing close to it.

This restaurant is clean and tasty. It is right across the street from Dal Lake and so the houseboat tourist drive up the prices. But the service was good, and the menu had things many cultures could enjoy. It is a good place to go...MoreThank you for taking your time for the review. It is the endeavor of stream family, never to lag behind in terms of quality of food and service.Hope to see you again soon.

The food here is just outstanding. We had stayed at the Khyber for 4 long days and were wanting for food something like this. The food especially “Rajma butter fry “ was delicious. The place is quite cheap as well and hence don’t just judge it by the cost. It’s a must go place
