Graskop is a small town in Mpumalanga province, South Africa. It was set up in the 1880s as a gold mining camp but it now serves as a tourist destination and the timber industry. The name is Afrikaans for grassy hillock. “God’s Window”, a scenic view from the escarpment of the Lowveld below, is located outside the town.

If you want to just forget about the hustle and bustle of the city, take a drive on this route. The views are amazing, you will breath all negativity out of your body. I need this often in my life. There are also plenty of things to do and places to visit on the route

The Mac Mac falls is nicely located between Sabie and Graskop.
It is very easy to park close to the falls just off of the R532.
The falls are worth visiting but are not as spectacular as some of the others in the area. The viewing area provides you with a good view of looking down on the falls - the only sad part is the fence at the viewing area is about 2m tall.

Views to die for! Absolutely fabulous but like any scenic view, needs to be a clear day. Try to arrive early, as it becomes very popular with tour buses during the day.

The Pinnacle Rock is on the road to God's Window. It's a freestanding buttress of rock rising vertically out of the surrounding indigenous forest, making it look like a natural skyscraper. There are viewing decks giving you a different perspective of the rock. It's usually R10 per car, but I guess because it was festive season, we got charged per person and didn't get a receipt. It was 10 minutes before closing time so I wasn't in the mood to fight about it. I wanted to show my 10yr old son another one of the Lowveld's wonders of nature.

Large zip line across the waterfall but a deep bungee type jump from the top of the waterfall to the bottom and then you swing at the bottom.
Takes your breath away.
But the structure leaves much to be desired. Take a closer look at the nuts and bolts holding the structure up.. not the industrial type.
Jump at own risk.

Bring your bathing suit and cool down in the crystal clear waters of these pools that you will share with some colourful birds! There is a fantastic 3,5 very well indicated hiking trail called “the secretary bird trail”. Just follow the yellow shoes and have your camera ready for some klipspringers and wonderful birds!

It was pouring with rain on our visit. We still had the most enlightening tour. What wonderful staff, all of them. We had kids along and they were just stunned with all the info and turning of the wheel to unwind a cocoon. Well worth the visit and certainly need to commend the all the staff for their hearty welcome and pleasant behaviours on our visit. Wish I could buy more of the silks. Well done

The Graskop Gorge lift Company (Pty) Ltd is the latest and most innovative tourism development in South Africa. Situated in Graskop Mpumalanga, along the Panorama Route, made famous for its natural beauty and world renowned viewing attractions such as God’s Window and the Blyde River Canyon. The Graskop Gorge Lift Company is your passage into the heart of one of Mpumalanga’s last forested wonderlands. An extensive network of elevated walkways, suspension Bridges and interactive exhibits will lead you along the forest trail, across the stream, keeping one engaged in this natural and pristine environment.
So pleased we went to visit this new attraction.Everything about it is fantastic The views are breathtaking and the walkways are very cleverly laid out. Also worth a mention are the variety of african market stalls....the best I have ever seen anywhere in SA and the goods were all at a much better price too.The cafe is also worth a visit ,a good menu at very good prices. A wonderful place to visit

Whilst jumping forward in bungee, this activity has you stepping backwards which is terrifying in comparison. Not too expensive. We did find it was not well organised; we had booked through an agent and was told the price was higher. We booked a time slot, only when we arrived timeously, had to wait in a queue for over an hour for people who just came off the street. The owners were not accommodating or too friendly but more interested in payments. But the staff on the jump deck were great and made the activity worth it, thanks guys! There is a walk up the gorge (270+ steps) to climb after the jump, so be prepared.
