The 'Maison du Blé et du Pain' in Echallens is a living craft museum well worth a visit. Discover the history of wheat by following the process of the growth cycle as the seasons go by; from sawing to harvest to milling to ending up at the bakery. Witness the history and long development process of mankind’s progress with the discovery of cereal cultivation, grain milling and bread baking. Also see the progress of technology; from the primitive methods and tools of cultivation applied by ancient civilizations to the mechanized approach used in today’s industrial world. On display are pieces of equipment from days (long) gone by to modern-day automated devices. And at the end of your visit, you end up in the artisan bakery where professionals practice the age-old art of making bread. You can even knead dough yourself, form your own plaited loaf, put in the oven, and then take it away as you leave the museum. That is, of course, if you don’t eat it on the spot, along with a delicious and copious brunch (or snack) served at the “Fournil” restaurant… while watching the bakers at work. This is a great family outing for old and Young. Just make sure you made Reservations beforehand.

I came on Rick Steves recommendation and was glad I did, its worth the visit, as you do see art in a different form. The artists are from societies fringe with unfortunate childhood stories, criminal backgrounds, mental health challenges. Their artwork benefited both them and society , I am glad the curator had the foresight to collect their works and the presentation was well done and added to our appreciation of their works. I especially enjoyed the works of nature on the upperfloors. I understand the works are rotated and you might see something else entirely on each visit. If you go early they only charge half price. I was disappointed in their choice for pictures on posters sold as I felt they chose the craziest, work rather than the prettiest work, Some of the artwork looks like it could have been drawn by a first grader and some was truly outstanding. In all well presented, thought provoking and well done. No wifi, You have to put bags into lockers, there are clean bathrooms, staff was helpful and friendly

Ultimate race room. 7 full motion simulators. Perfect to train your racing skills and race against your friends.
We organized a company outing with a caterer, privatizing the site. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. I'm no pro in driving Formula 1 racing cars but the experience seemed very life-like, with four-point seat belts, vibrating seats that move horizontally and laterally, and impressive visuals; you can really get caught up in the action! It was a total hit and the evening was over too quicky. If you enjoy driving, a define must-try!

It's a relatively small zoo and you can visit everything in approximately 2 to 3 hours. The animals look healthy and seem to have enough space. It's not super special but nice for an afternoon with kids. The playground is really nice and will occupy the kids for at least 30 min longer. We never used the restaurant, so I can't comment on that. However there are plenty of tables scattered in the parc for a picnic.

Try to Escape is a full-scale escape game practiced in small teams with friends, colleagues or family. Locked in a room for 60 minutes, you will have to work, use your ingenuity, your curiosity and to help each other to find the solution!
Very good activity with a very original enigma to solve. I highly recommend "try to escape" as the service is "tip-top", great organisation with good explanation at the beginning and excellent debrief at the end. This activity could also be taken as a team building.

We went to Urba Kids with our little ones (1, 4 and 6 yrs old) on a Saturday afternoon and it was a nice discovery. There are two levels with three big bouncy Castles, trampolines, one big climbing structure, and karts (even for babies). There's also a cafeteria serving crepes, a little Terrace outside with a sand box and a playground, and in Summer there is a labyrinth in a corn field outdoors as well. Everything was clean and well maintained, carpet covers the floor (nice for crawling babies). Entrance is free for adults and 12.- Swiss Francs per child (unlimited play time). I would go back, we all liked it.
