Jazz aficionados know Montreux as the home of the famed jazz festival. And where else will you find a statue of Queen lead singer Freddie Mercury? But even those who aren't music fans will find respite in this resort town on the Swiss Riviera: The wineries here are world renowned, the Chateau de Chillon is an impressive example of a medieval castle and the views of the Dents-du-Midi are breathtaking. Walk on the lake promenade, ride the cogwheel train or wander Old Montreux to taste its Edwardian flavor.

Montreux Palace is just the place to be! Its all about luxury here! I loved the room facilities, restaurants, and the entire layout - but whats most beautiful there is the view!! You can't imagine how divine it is! Staying here is like you are living in a fairytale for few days! Montreux itself if truly heaven on earth, having on top of that such hotel with sip of wine and great meal..... all you need! Im hearty recommending this stunning luxury property!

We went there for dinner. Everything is class, waiters, the decoration of the tables and the restaurant generally. It is located near Montreux in a small quiet village. We were warmly welcomed and the service was really good. They know really well the products they propose (wine, cheese, dishes). We had the duck as the main dish. Was incredible. So if you like good food and your budget allows it, go there.

Seriously now, giving this place (only) a 13/20 rating is in no way justified. The setting, the welcome, the service and, above all, the cooking are way above the Gault & Milleau evaluation. The latter especially in relation to the Os à Moëlle, Potté d’escargots, Lapin Tessinoise and the Crème brûlée. There simply is no better. The refined preparation, presentation and exceptional taste are an easy match to what Gault & Milleau rates with near perfect scores elsewhere. Bravo Claudia, Christian and staff. Luckily, you don’t need a gourmet guide to promote your restaurant. What really matters is the opinion of customers. And on my evaluation scale you have reached the top. Well done. Keep up the excellent work.

The Museum is situated in a historical building in the old town of Montreux and it is less than 10 minutes walking distance from the main train station. Founded in the early years of the worldwide known Montreux Jazz Festival The Museum has been the place to be for many internationally known stars like Mick Jagger and David Bowie to name but a few. The setting is traditionally Swiss with an authentic atmosphere. In summer a peaceful court invites families and friends to enjoy a meal in a relaxing environment. The Museum accepts groups of up to 150 people and it is the ideal place for family or company events, but it is also a romantic place if you'd like to spend a privileged moment with your loved one. The Museum honours the Swiss cuisine with many different cheese and meat fondues of the highest quality. You could also try their famous' Charbonnade', a charcoal grill on which you grill your meat according to your own taste! Most of the menus are served with the outstanding potato gratin made with chef's secret ingredients (this includes 10 different Swiss cheeses). We look forwards to welcome you soon !
Having spent 10 days in Switzerland and France we ate a lot of cheese and fondue. This was our favorite. The restaurant is quaint/cozy. The staff is helpful. Like most restaurants in Switzerland, they do not rush you (so at times it may feel like...MoreDear Allval Thank you for your review! We hope to see you again at our restaurant! Was an absolute pleasure greeting you. With respect, Restaurant le Museum Team

An incredible line-up of traditional and house cocktails envied by many in Switzerland! Offering simple, fun gourmet eating coupled with a wholehearted, unpretentious welcome, Funky Claude's Bar is a great place to drop by or hang out late into the night, whether you're local or just passing through the Riviera. Faithful to the world of Festival founder Claude Nobs, the decor and choice of materials invite you to settle in and chill out for an unforgettable moment at the best live venue in town.
On our first visit to Montreaux we came here with good friends (as it was highly recommended). A Saturday evening, we arrived early while it was quiet which enabled us to take a table near the entertainment. We spent the entire evening enjoying fantastic food (the burgers were amazing!), service and great music. The bar was full by the time we left late on and the atmosphere was lovely, really welcoming. Regis in particular, with his unique passion for his bar and knowledge of whisky made it a memorable experience. We will return when time permits.

Table service. Good coffee. Cakes are pricey but the croissants & brioche are cheaper. Certainly one of the busiest around Montreux centre.

Visited after a good hike and thought we may have been a bit underdressed but everything was fine. Extremely friendly service, food was quick and delicious. It's Swiss Restaurant prices, but probably as good value as you will find in the area.

Welcome to the Auberge de Chaulin ideally located on the heights of Montreux and enjoying a panoramic view of Lake Geneva, Stéphanie offers you a refined cuisine of season and Christopher welcomes you warmly and advises you local wines to accompany it.
We had Sunday lunch at this lovely resto. It is set about above Montreux apparently about an hour’s walk and ten minutes by car (there is parking for those arriving by car). We had a table by the window which afforded beautiful views of the lake below.
The place is run by a husband and wife team, Mrs is the brilliant chef and Mr is the very personable front of house who, as other reviewers have also said, speaks excellent English should your school French be a bit rusty.
The menu, which is in French but comes with an offer of help if needed, was concise and very seasonal, the wine list was extensive with plenty of local options. We were lucky enough to eat there during game season and we chose the chef’s suggestion of deer which seemed to be a popular choice and was certainly delicious. The whole experience was excellent. The service friendly and attentive, the food and wine excellent – it was a pleasure to eat there, we felt very looked after. I think our experience could have only been bettered if we had gone on a slightly warmer day and been able to eat on the Terrace but we still had a lovely view of the lake from our table inside. By normal standards it would be considered quite expensive, but by Montreux standards it was reasonable, particularly for the quality of the food and the service – generally if you are in Switzerland you have to be prepared for the prices.

Remarkably well located in Montreux, close to the shores of Lake Geneva and only a few minutes from the Casino and the Chateau de Chillon. The Huit Sushi Restaurant has become over the years a must for lovers of good sushi and Japanese cuisine and Korean. And to feed your curiosity: For the head, eight is a lucky number in his country, that's why he gave the name of eight sushi.
Popped in on a Monday. Place was busy which is always a good sign. Waited 5 minutes for a table but soon seated and served. We had the BBQ platters of sea food and marinated pork, with a lovely local wine. Attentive service and great value for Montreux. Would eat here again!
