Logue's Bar and the Goose and Gander Pizzeria can be found in Carrigart, serving pizza's fresh from the wood fired oven in the Goose and Gander - with the cosy Logue's bar hosting a varied and popular drinks menu with an emphasis on gin and craft beer. Warm fires galore, your one stop for great food, a welcoming atmosphere and live music. Entertainment at weekends year-round, and check our Facebook for entertainment listings during the Summer season, where we have original music during the week as well as a cultural night of Songs and Stories on a Monday night.
Fantastic, friendly, foodie fun pub. On the day we visited a local pop kitchen. The haven smoke house had the helm with a seafood BBQ featuring their own organic smoked salmon and other local delights from the nearby ocean. I've never tasted smoked salmon so delicate and soft, great local craft beers to match, thankfully the smoked salmon can purchased just up the road ask for directions behind the bar

Had a great day here with two of my friends. None of us had experience but the staff were very friendly and accommodating towards us. We went for a one hour trek which took us down towards the lake side where we had an exceptional view of mount Errigal. Our guide Anton was extremely helpful and great craic. We had a lot of fun and he was able to tell us a lot of facts and stories along our trek. We will definately be back had a fab time!

My sister-in-law and I were looking forward to seeing this lighthouse for about six months, and we were not disappointed. I has to be one of the most beautiful Lighthouses in the world. It has a breathtaking view and its white color is fantastic against the blue of the sky and the water.

Great weekend with Iain in Donegal. Easy to chat to and work with. Nothing too strenuous in the training yet there was a lot of information given. Very interesting and would highly recommend Iain as a leader. Looking forward to ML2

Hornhead Loop is a stellar gem in County Donegal's impossible array of nature's hypnotic and compellingly moody abundance. Driving a sporty manual transmission vehicle around and through its compelling twists and of wild variety induces emotional reactions ranging from total silence to unplanned interjection.
Hornhead Loops's yet another brilliant playground in and for free flung horseplay. In giving myself over to indulgent up and downshifting in harmony with a compelling range of curves, turns, rises and dips, at times my wife's neck and head aptly mirrored the geographic and gravitational forces in interplay. That is until I was admonished to take it down a notch.
Hornhead kinda does that to ya~

Everyone from arrival to departure made sure we had their help and attention! Very pleasant and well organised staff. Golf buggies complete the enjoyment of the golf course and scenery. Views and afternoon sun much appreciated from our bay view balcony. Excellent variety of local freshly caught sea foods, also local meats.
Local crafts are available to purchase in Downings nearby, and the scenery on the Atlantic Drive will keep photographers busy!

Even on a cold wet windy day the area surrounding Glenveagh castle is spectacular. The views of the Mountains are really stunning. The car park and visitor centre is roughly 3 miles away from the castle but there is a bus which is handy if you don’t want to walk all that way. The castle itself is beautiful from the outside. We didn’t get a chance to explore instead but we were told it is worth getting a tour. The surrounding Gardens are all beautiful. Each garden has a different theme. Some lovely statues and unusual trees and plants to discover. There’s also some great hikes around the property that are well worth doing to see more of the mounting and lake.

Fort Dunree is situated 7 miles outside Buncrana on the Inishowen Peninsula, housing a Military Museum, Wildlife Discovery Room, Coffee Shop, stunning walks and majestic views of Lough Swilly it is a must for every visitor to Donegal
This impressive fort was originally built as a Royal Navy position during the Napoleonic Wars. So it’s over 200 years old now and still standing.
It is located on windy roads about 8 miles or so from Buncrana on the Inishowen peninsula. There’s plenty of free parking and the natural views are really impressive.
We spent over an hour going around. On arrival at the reception to pay we were directed into a film that explained the history of the area and it was interesting to find that even after Irish independence and the creation of the state there was an agreement with Britain that its troops would continue to keep operational control of the fort as it was considered strategically significant.
Those days are now long gone. Today the fort is a military museum with fascinating Exhibitions, and many displays about the birds, marine life and coastal vegetation of the area. It has a gift shop, an auditorium and trail walks.
There’s also a nearby coffee shop that serves up savoury & sweet treats, it offers free WiFi and it’s a very pleasant way to relax after a visit to the fort.
