An ancient inscription dated 1871 was found on an old press, demonstrates the long tradition of the Armed Family in the production of olive oil. We work with millstones according to the traditional cold pressing. We produce an extra virgin olive oil with low acidity, digestible, unfiltered, sweet and slightly fruity.
We have been to Alassio many times but only this year discovered the olive oil factory and shop
This wasn't just a show case set up for tourists but very much a family business ,factory and shop
We were amased at how many locals and businesses were buying 5 litres +of olive oil , which was taken from huge vats .
We were asked if we would like a tour of how olive oil was made, which was very interesting .
The shop had so many olive oils to choose from as well as pestos and skin care made from olive oil . We were spoil for choice. Unfortunately due to weigh restrictions on our flight back to Ireland we were limited to how much we could buy. But we still managed to purchase .
This is well worth a visit, the staff are very welcoming could not be more helpful with a lovely friendly manner
I wanted some olives (delicious)but jar would been heavy No trouble vacum packing fresh olives for me
Prices are so reasonably
Will definitely be back next time

Its full of fascinating historic and crosscultural activites that makes the area an interesting spot to visit. Highly recommendable!

With a history going back to Roman times, the heart of Albenga is a great place for a stroll, a meal, a church and/or museum visit and a chance to admire the ancient architecture. There is plenty of everyday life here. The jury is out on how safe a place it is in the evening. The locals don't want to surrender their city to crime. Frankly, they have seen some in recent years. We feel quite comfortable here in the daytime. PErhaps in the early evening, we would head to a specific restaurant, since we know the streets. If you are a tad uncomfortable, confer with the locals, the tourist office and/or the police and make your own decision.

Probably one of the smallest churches anywhere. Fun to stroll along the Promenade enroute, peeking in all of the shops and making your way to the church. It's a small climb up a few winding stairs to reach the top, and you will be rewarded with beautiful views of the Ligurian Sea, Gallinara Island across from the church and the marina below. A good sight to visit in Alassio.

One of the most beautiful walks in the Riviera. 3km all the way to Alassio into the "Budello" which is so unique in style and richness of shops, restaurants and bars.

The Promenade between these 2 towns must be one of the best promenades we have ever walked. So relaxing and so clean and lots of benches to relax your legs. It was wonderful to just walk, enjoy the scenery and you know what, it is even for free. This is what you call pure relaxation. No vendors too nagging you to buy their wares.
I don't know how long the walk took from Alassio to Laigueglia. It probably took a little more than an hour because I cannot help myself not taking pictures along the way. Just love it!
If we have stayed for a week in Alassio and been to the other places in the Italian Riviera before, I would have suggested we walk this sretch not once but everyday.
Just bring water as there are no stores along the way. The Promenade or Lungo Mare is between the highway and the sea.
Since we went up to Colla Micheri, our legs were tired so we opted to take a bus going back to our hotel in Alassio. Don't take the train as there are only a few trains stopping in Laigueglia. Bus is more frequent. At this time of the year, (Easter time), there were few restaurants opened in Laigueglia. But maybe in the summer, more establishments are opened to eat dinner there.

The Budello is a pedestrian street with plenty of nice shops, and some nice bars and coffee shops. It is usually very crowded, especially in the evening, witnessing the attractiveness of the place.

When Alassio was more fashionable than it is now, a local artist conferred with his friends, Charlie Chaplin and Ernest Hemingway, and came up with the idea of a wall of plaques signed by notable visitors to the town. The idea took off, and over many decades the famous, nearly famous and various organizations and dignitaries have added their tile to the growing monument. Turning a modest retaining wall into an art exhibit was a brilliant idea and it has added luster to this resort town.

Located between Alassio and Albenga, Baba Beach is not your traditional ligurian beach. It has various terraces (Lounge, Byron, Snoopy) which insure tranquillity and great views of the sea. The sunbeds and umbrellas on the sandy part of the beach are at a confortable distance from each other. It also has a wonderful restaurant and bar. Dogs are welcome!
Nice, well equipped dog beach with bar, restaurant, clean shower and toilet also parking area for car. Public parking is also available but limited. Beach is 5 minutes drive away from Alassio city center. The beach itself is not big but very nice. For the dogs also complete service is available (dog bed, water bowl, shower). I definitively recommend this place for everyone (not only with dogs) due to the spectacular view also that this is a much nicer beach compared to the one in Alassio center.

The little bathing establishment Bagni St.Tropez offers in a comfortable and familiar atmosphere umbrellas with see-beds and chairs, chanching-rooms, cold and warm showers, aera wifi, and on the shaddy Terrace of the beach bar are served breakfast, cool drinks, delicious snacks, sandwiches, salads and other local dishes.
We have been to this bagni this year, and about twelve years ago. And before that my wife went there as a kid (that's about 30 years ago). In all that time the atmosphere has stayed relaxed and friendly. Back then run by the two original owners, now by their two daughters. But mom and dad are there every day, helping out where they can and making sure the guests feel at home.
Clean beach, wonderful beds and chairs, free WiFi and an italian lifeguard are enhanced by Italian, English and German speaking hosts. A pleasure to stay here, every time.
