This is a really cool walk. It's completely flat and it's shaded, which was a bonus on a very hot day. It's really interesting, with a good variety of information boards throughout.

1770 Distillery

1770 Distillery was established as a Boutique Distillery to utilise the locally grown fruits of the area and to provide a unique experience for both locals and tourists. It was John's dream to have a distillery and that is what led both John & Debra to the beautiful seaside Town of 1770 / Agnes Water in Queensland. The dream materialized after being bitten by the distilling bug whilst living in Tasmania. It was there that both John & Debra developed their distilling skill under the ever watchful eye of both Bill & Lyn Lark of the Lark Distillery.

We stopped here on a rainy day to check things out. The fella running it was fantastic to talk to and we really enjoyed our conversation with him. Absolutely amazing place. If you're an animal lover it's a must visit. No pens.. no cages..just hand reared kangaroos that are orphaned. They are released when old enough.. some never come back. Others are back every day for food. Absolutely amazing. They can come and go as they please. Just visit!!

Deepwater National Park

Please take care in this amazing part of the world. There are many small critters like pythons, goannas, paddy melons ranging up to bigger creatures like wallabies, kangaroos, and emus. They pop out onto the track at anytime. The track is pure sand except for the lead up into Agnes which turns into gravel. It can sometimes have massive divets. There are three beach access roads one to Flat Rock, Middle Rock and Wreck Rock with camping areas throughout. The Beaches are largely empty most of the year and pristine in their beauty. Wreck Rock is great for a surf and a snorkel at low tide.

Eurimbula National Park

We did the fabulous all day adventure on the LARC. Sight seeing, swimming, sand boarding, an abundance of wild life, lunch, the most spectacular views and a history lesson thrown in. For my 14 year old to say how much he enjoyed learning about the area and the history, really says something. This was well worth the investment. I would return in a flash, as they say the wild life changes with the seasons.

Allow about an hour to soak up some great information on Cook and key members of his expedition in 1770. A lot of local history and artefacts from the region. Some great Reading material for history buffs, that is probably not as readily accessible at bigger museums. Very good value modest entry fee.

Kent Barton Art Gallery

Experience the world's first permanent outdoor art gallery where you can meet the artist, stroll through the outdoor art gallery and purchase artworks. Kent Barton is a multi award winning Australia Artist.

Reviewed By cweeks2016 - Glass House Mountains, Australia

When we drove into The Lovely Cottages at Agnes Water we wondered how the owners could possibly display and bring in the lovely artworks each day to prevent their being damaged by weather. But Kent has developed a clever way to display his award-winning serigraphs so they can be permanently on display throughout the 5 acre property. When purchasing one (or more!) of these quirky artworks, they can be easily rolled up and taken home (or posted) and framing is a lot easier and cheaper than conventional methods. Intrigued? Then visit Kent's Outdoor Gallery at The Lovely Cottages, Agnes Water - you'll love it!
