Scuba Diving Centre, CMAS PADI SSI courses, daily Diving & Snorkeling Trips, wrecks caves reefs, Discover scuba dive
Have dived with this company many times before.
Always very pleasant apart from the Mrs who can be a bit blunt sometimes.
They are very good at kitting you out and look after you from start to finish.
Dive boat is very nice and sites are good but you won't see many fish.
Would recommend this dive school to anyone

This shop offers gold and silver jewellery to good prices. They have a bigchoice of different styles, some traditional Greek, but also Italian and German modern designs.
The shop owners are very friendly and you can feel comfortable looking around and you don't feel obliged to buy which is good, because sometimes you just need to think what you like over a few days.
It's worth having a look. I bought a nice necklace with a beautiful green gemstone.

The Folklore Museum of Acharavi in Corfu was inaugurated in October 2008. It is located just opposite the Roman baths of Acharavi in a private building of 1,000 sq.m. The museum was an inspiration and creation of Spyros Vlachos, who searched and found interesting folk items of northern Corfu to display there. The permanent collection of the museum is diplayed in two rooms. It includes old photos, books and manuscripts that date from 1862, coins from the period of the Ionian State , wooden folk furniture, loom, traditional olive press, kitchen utenslis, agricultural tools, watermill, ecclesiastical items and other exhibits that present the historical course of Corfu from the 18th century till today. The museum also has a conference room where lectures and seminars take place, a traditional coffee shop as well as a permanent exhibition of traditional products and woven handicrafts.
Considering that Acharavi is a small place, town which used to be a village some years ago, it is amazing that there is a museum. It is much more interesting than it seems since it is bigger than it seems! Very carefully made to travel you through history! Must see!

At first we were a bit dubious about using a car rental firm, other than one of the big world wide firms, but there was no need to be dubious.
The price was cheap, the car practically brand new, the service excellent and they even chucked in a baby seat and lift back to the hotel for free.

Our only complaint about Central was that we were only able to eat there once, due to other plans.
It has recently re-opened (I think under new management?) a few weeks ago, and the owner (and chef) and his daughter make a fantastic team. We were well looked after from the moment we stepped inside.
I was tempted by the Special - 3 burgers (chicken, beef, lamb), all freshly home made burgers, servered with haloumi, pitta, chips and various extras. It was 11 euros, and was probably enough food for 2 or 3 people! There were 4 of us eating (2 adults, 2 kids) and the total bill, including drinks, was 41 euros. We felt this wasn't nearly enough for the quality (and quantity) of food provided, so left a healthy tip.
As it has only opened (in its current guise) a few weeks ago, it was quite quiet. This is a real shame as I don't think you'll get better, fresher home made food anywhere in Acharavi. They also catered really well for our youngest (3), giving him chips and 'brittish sausage', which was EXACTLY what he wanted!
Can't recommend the place enough, probably one of the best evenings of our holiday. Thanks Burger Central!

Lovely long sandy beach. Never too busy apart from spots outside hotels (not many). Ideal for walking and there are local tavernas for food and drink. Great views of the north of the island and the Albanian Mainland.

The history of the Vlachos (Dalas) family with the jewellery starts around 1950 from Athens, where Ioannis Vlachos (Dalas) starts a watch and jewllery workshop that evolves to a family bussiness. As time moved on, having with him his two children Stamatis and Nikos, continues the family bussiness, keeping the high standards and quality and opens a second shop in Acharavi, Corfu, in their birthplace. In Acharavi the family tradition continues for a third generation, with Niko's sun, Giannis, with the Dalas Jewellery shop offering a wide variety of established watch brands (SWATCH , STORM , FESTINA etc), GREEK GOLD JEWELLERY, DIAMOND COLLECTION and JEWLLERY in GOLD and SILVER. Yiannis, in the Acharavi Dallas Jewellery shop, having studied jewellery design and creation, offers traditional qulity.
I can truly recommend Dallas Jewellery gold shop on Acharavi Corfu, a short walk from the center of the village with great prices, excellent service and after sales care. Giannis is so very helpful and you will truly get the best prices here for gold and silver jewellery.
I bought a gold dolphin inspired by an ancient painting in Knossos Palace and a Phaistos Disc Pendant. I have enjoyed receiving compliments on some of the pieces I have purchased from Dalas Jewellery.

A great beach with slight, in places, shingle but mostly sand. Normally gentle seas but, at times, rough. Gentle slope so children are safe but keep an eye on them. Plenty of places behind for drinks and snacks. We liked it and thought it one of the better Beaches on Corfu in that it was quiet with no rowdy holiday makers.
