Great beach, especially during the week - on weekends it can be a bit crowded. Clean, white sand. The bar at the beach is great and the people who run it are wonderful. Plenty of hammocks, chairs, umbrellas to rent, as well as paddle boats.

It was something different to take this exclusion Ons. We got a boat trip on the beautiful estuary and there are plenty of good tracks for walking on the island. The Beaches were fine but there were no facilities so everything has to be carried including beach chairs etc if required. There are some adequate restaurants and cafeterias on the island by the port. There are no cars or public transport on the island.
Getting tickets at the tiny ticket office at the beginning of the port was chaotic. I don't think it would have been any better to buy tickets online because you still have to queue up to exchange the printed vouchers for tickets. There is quite a walk from the ticket office to the boat which is fine for able-bodied people but it would not been particularly pleasant if we were trying to carry armfuls of beach equipment. It's not easy to get on and off the boat and to climb the stairs to the upper deck. The boat was very crowded in August.

100% recomendable

The winery belongs to the D.O "Rias Baixas", is located at the southern end from the subarea "Val do Salnes" on the foot of a hillside called "Padrinan", where there are many immemorial small plots which provide the winery. This area has a privileged position over Sanxenxo village and the entrance of Pontevedra estuary,it has an own microclimate, optimal for the grape growing, which added to the geophysical peculiarities of the floor, makes a grape with a great balance between acidity and sugar with an optimum ripening grade. This fact with a doubtless fame on the sector, originated an albarino wine with own personality, which made bigger with the years.
We visited here as part of an excursion with Discover Galicia, from Santiago de Compostela. Our welcome was warm and the visit was most interesting, learning about how the Albariño wines are produced and the effect the proximity to the sea has, upon the flavour. After the talk and tour we sat at tables and were provided with three glasses of different Albariño wines along with some tapas. It was a lovely relaxing end to the visit and the wines were all great.
