Pontevedra (Galician: [ˌponteˈβɛðɾa], Spanish: [ponteˈβeðɾa]) is a Spanish city in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula. It is the capital of both the Comarca (County) and Province of Pontevedra, and of the Rias Baixas in Galicia. It is also the capital of its own municipality which is, in fact, often considered as an extension of the actual city. Pontevedra is the provincial district court seat.

We made a reservation to have dinner on a Saturday night, since this place is usually crowded.
We ordered a Il Piccolo salad, which was quite tasty, spaghetti with clams and ravioli. My husband ate the spaghetti with clams. At first, he thought that the portion was not enough for him but he proved himself wrong, when he finished eating, he was full.
I ate the ravioli and I didn't quite like them. First of all, they only have meat ravioli so you have no choice, just only the sauce which goes with them. When I ate them, they didn't taste like restaurant-made ravioli, their taste was like the ones from the supermarket. If you love cheese, the sauce was really good. However, they're nothing to write home about.
We paid almost 40€ for the three dishes plus a coke and water.
I will probably go again but I won't ordered the same dish. Overall, this is a good place to eat and the waiters are nice and helpful.

visited casa solla on our way to Santiago de compostela. the restaurant is beautiful, very serene, staff were excellant and the food was delicious.
we had the taster menu and enjoyed every course.
the restaurant is well organised and professionally managed, but the service and ambiance are not pretentious.
highly recommended stop, for both food and experience.

Table had pulpo á feria, gambas á la plancha, pimentos de Padrón, albariño, chupito. All excellent. The kind of Gallician cooking you read about - simple ingredients, perfectly done. Service quick, unpretentious, warm. A place you'd travel to eat in.

Our hotel receptionist at Hotel Avenida Pontevedra told us try Casa Roman seafood restaurant. The restaurant is easy to find - walk towards the old town - same street as hotel - walk under the overhead bridge- keep walk straight the restaurant is located on the left. I suspect this is a local favourite. Loved it instantly. Great vibe. We ate in the tapas room - there is a main restaurant which begins serving from 9pm. The tapas bar seems to be where people want to be. The tapas selection is quite extensive and although the menu was in Spanish- good old Google translator filled in the blanks. We started with a salad, then scallops and on to prawns. All delicious dishes washed down with excellent Spanish wines from Rioja. Including bread, 2 glasses of wine each, 3 Superb dishes and wonderful atmosphere thrown in - For only 35€. We particularly liked the small touch of complimentary tidbits that the wait staff offered around. I want a restaurant just like this at my front door. Well done Casa Roman - you’re a star

Galician products with "Loaira Style". A wide variety of local wines from smalls and singular vineyards.
We had dinner outside in the Praza. The meal was shared bites of tuna, lamb meatballs in an incredible tomato sauce, clams and tempura langoustine – all great. A very enjoyable evening.

Visited on a Saturday lunchtime for an informal lunch with a friend. Apparently it was pretty much fully booked, so a reservation might be advisable on peak days/times.
I had visited the site before, but under a different guise, and my first impression that it was much brighter and airy than I remembered. This is significant because the Bagos is actually located in a basement. Tables are not too close together, so there is plenty of space.
Unfortunately I don't know the local names of the dishes that we shared, except that we had one starter of scallops and one of a local cured meat delicacy. The latter was extremely good (it's a pity I can't remember the name).
For mains we had one dim sum dish and one local ternera (beef) dish - both were very good.
The only slight disappointment was one of the desserts, which was supposedly a chestnut crumble - the problem being that it didn't really taste of chestnut!
As you would expect in a Vinoteca the wine list was better than average for Pontevedra, with many interesting Spanish wines, and a smattering of other European wines. It is quite unusual to find any wines other than Spanish over here, so we opted for a very good Sancerre!
Worth a visit but not necessarily a detour.

We had dinner at this restaurant, which is quite difficult to find, since Google locates it on a similar address, but on a different village. We told them and they did not seem to care. The upstairs bar does not make you wish to go in, but the downstairs restaurant is well decorated and with friendly service. We were there for the seafood, a great reason to go to Galicia. It was fresh, but a little bit overcooked and the lobster rice, cooked with to much tomato and saffron. The reasonable price and the friendly cook (Paco) make up for what may have been a simple mistake, not to be repeated.
