Even before arriving Sara was super helpful via email giving us all The information we needed. It was easy to find, just off a main road in Torrox and everyone working there was super friendly. Run by Sara and Marcin (and cutest baby Olivia!) they made us feel totally at ease. Morning dive la hedurra, my partner and I were beginners and Marcin was a calming influence under the water. He was so reassuring and helpful, it made us feel so much more relaxed knowing he was guiding us. 60 minutes scuba diving was the perfect amount for our first experience. Highly highly recommend this place - they were so friendly and informative, loved every minute! Thank you for a great experience!!

Tour & Tasting: 9,00€ pp Complete Wine Experience: 28,50€ (3-course menu) or 39,00€ (5-course menu)pp Just Lunch: 23,50€ (3-course menu) or 34,00€ (5 course menu).
The people at Bodegaz Bentomiz are really friendly and have a very interesting, well explained and humorfull story about their winery. However the absolute highlight of the visit is the lunch; a very broad variaty of dishes and tastes compaired with their exentric, complex but also very tastefull wines. Definitely go for the 5 course menu, it is worth every cent :-)

When the summer temperature rises radically, I can imagine that a hiking in this hilly city requires its athletic ability.December month and temperature around 15 degrees and the tourist season goes a bit more on low speed. A great opportunity to visit this mountain town that clings to the mountain range.Lots of picturesque environments and beautiful ornaments on the small house façades. The Old Fountain is a brilliant example.

For the second time in three years we enjoyed seeing snow on the mountain backdrop of the canalised section of the Rio Chilla, bordered with thick vegetation and trees, which leads to the sea.

We drove to Torrox Costa by car from Nerja & took a stroll along the long Promenade. Its a pleasant walk, easy, flat, with shops & cafe's close by. The beach itself is typical of the area.....dull grey sand that looks less appealing than golden or pale sand. Lots of parking close to the beach. The village of Torrox is a few kilometers in land and more appealing & interesting than Torrox Costa.

Really good view of almost every page and often the entertainment of excellent street musicians, but her can be very windy. Here the old pensioners are aired daily, as well as some bus full tourists taking Selfies. I love it!

If you’re following the main narrow village streets in Frigiliana, you’ll definitely get to the charming Plaza de Iglesias, where the San Antonio de Padua church is located.
The church was built in 1676 and is named after the patron saint of Frigiliana.
A century after its construction, the church was refurbished and got its current appearance.
Like all the buildings in Frigiliana, the facades of this church are white-washed as well.
Some call the interior a ‘hidden gem’; I guess this is a bit to much honor, however the altar and the ornaments are lovely and charming indeed.
If the doors are open (mostly during daytime), a short visit is recommendable.

With a volume of more than 100,000 m3 and a surface covering 9,371 m2, the Tourist galleries represent approximately one-third of the cave. The cave has been used as a habitat, a burial site and for cultural expression. There are remnants testifying to the passage of hunters, gatherers and fishermen from more than 30,000 years ago. The General Visit starts with the screening of a audiovisual presentation in which you will be able to see spectacular details of the cave (10 minutes). Then an audio-guided visit through the different chambers of the Cave, in a pleasant walk of about 45 minutes where you will discover the many secrets the grotto keeps (audio-guided in Spanish, English, German, French, Italian and Russian). When the cave closes its doors, a small group of privileged people can enter the mystery of the underworld to enjoy the magnificence and beauty of the cave, and discover its secrets. You can choose between three modalities of Exclusive Tours
Our visit to the Nerja caves was well worth the drive from Malaga. The cave is huge and impressive. Interesting place for adults and children. Probably not suitable for those with mobility issues. The cave was not crowded during our visit, which was in the morning. Especially in summer or high tourist season/time, I'd recommend going soon after they open.

Roman remains located next to the lighthouse of Torrox have been identified as the Mansio Caviclum of the Antonine Itinerary, consisting of a Villa a mare, a salting factory reconverted into a necropolis, a potter's workshop and thermal baths. All this makes up the Archaelogical Site El Faro, declared a Protected Cultural Property in 2007.
A very interesting piece of Roman History well excavated and explained in English and Spanish (I think German as well). There is also a video, mainly aimed at youngsters but which I found interesting. A very interesting insight into life in Roman times.
Don't miss the other areas of the ruins outside the center.
