The holy city of Tirupati draws tourists and religious pilgrims alike, who flock to the Ancient Lord Venkateswara Temple, known for its elaborate Dravidian style and gold-plated cupola. Prayers are offered daily at this popular temple, which sits high in the Tirumala hills. Several other temples dot the town, and the lush countryside contains numerous waterfalls. Tirupati is also home to a rare, naturally-occurring pre-Jurassic stone arch that is 25 feet long and 10 feet high, one of only three of these geological features in the world.

One advice if you’re planning to visit lord Venkateshwara at Tirumala: plan well in advance and avoid public holidays and weekends. The temple town of Tirumala is located on the hilltop of holy 7 hills, 45 mins drive from Tirupati.
A minimum of 50000 pilgrims visit the shrine everyday and the number goes way higher on festivals like Brahmotsavam.
Book sheeghra darshan tickets worth Rs300 online on TTD’s official website for speedy darshan. Senior citizens, specially abled, kids below 1 with 2 parents are allowed special fast darshan. Footpath pilgrims who trek via Alipiri or Srivari Mettu route are offered super fast DivyaDarshan. The shrine is open for almost 20 hours, depending on the rush.
TTD also provides free to subsidised accommodation, free food, free local transport and many facilities to pilgrims at Tirumala. Book online well in advance.

Tiruppathi to Tirumala alternate way of Alipery. You need 2-3 hrs. to reach Tirumala.
Footpath timing: Allow between 6am and 5:30pm
Daily issue 6000 tickets, better start little early to get.
Within few steps they issue ticket, at 1200 step they get biometric and take photo. After few steps they put seal. Before proceeding dharshan you get another sticker and pay for laddu. Then it become valid.
Totally you get three stickers on the ticket. Thru this ticket, free accommodation available.
We got next day dharshan at 10am. Nextday after staying 1:30 hrs in queue complex, another an hour took for dharshan.
While you climbing don't buy any snacks unless sealed, all UNHYGIENIC, spoil your tummy.
Car parking available at Srivarimettu, free luggage transit available.
Free TTD transport available from Tirupati railway station to Srivarimettu, else pay Rs. 800 for cab.
My suggestion is climb from Srivarimettu, return thru Alipery step. you get feeling of real trekking.

Most worshipers who visit Venkateswara temple in Tirumala would be interested in visiting this temple as well. The temple complex is beautifully decorated and the area is very clean. As it goes with most temples in Tirumala, mobile phones and other electronic equipment are not allowed. Casual dress is however allowed for regular darshan.

Please do visit this temple when you are in Tirupati and when you are visiting Tirumala.

We visited ISKCON Tirupati in evening time and trust me the atmosphere made to stay more than an hour. Splendid Architecture, makes this place royal. Chants of LORD KRISHNA made us feel in trance.
Temple premises is superb and priests are quite friendly. We bought GITA and couple of other books from the store. You definitely will fell POWER from WITHIN.

A nice place on foots of the Tirumala hills. An old Temple is situated inside the Cave or on the foot of Tirumal Hills. Shree Kapila Maharshi sat here to worship God and the water came flowing down from hills, was told.
Clean fresh running water is emerging from the top of the mountain to this pond. One can take holy dip in the pond.

One can see this Deer park while going down to Tirupati from Tirumala. There is nothing fancy about this place. It is just a small enclosure with many Deers. There are vendors selling Bananas and other fruits just next to the park. One can purchase these and feed the Deer.
One can visit this if he/she needs a 5-10 minutes break on the way to Tirupati. However I recommend families with kids to consider visiting this place.

Natural Arch wad formed ages ago and it's one of the main attraction and Chakra Theertam is also place to visit there. Place is neat and very well maintained by TTD.
