This is not just your average city library. It is a historic building in a Neoclassical style with columns and fine brickwork. It isn't everywhere the local library has a Reading room with Corinthian columns!
I came in here to enjoy the historic architecture but they have a great English language section if you want to sit in a comfy chair and do a bit of Reading. I read a few poems from Derek Walcott's "Collected Poems" and enjoyed the ambience.

Mylly(=Mill) is one og the biggest Malls in Finland, after their expansion last year. Located next to busy Motorway in Raisio, 10km from Turku's City Centre. After that expansion this place got little more interesting, including their "Restaurant World". Not too many luxury brands, but still something for everybody under one roof. From clothes to shoes, books to electronics and everything between.

I visited Naantali town in April. The weather was partly sunny but the wind was chilly. Anyway the view from "Kuparikallio" to the old town was nice and you can also see the "Kultaranta" ( the summer residence of the President of Finland) from there. There is a path to the old town from the Kuparikallio so it's easy to reach after some scenic views.
The old town is really pretty and even the new wooden houses can be easily spot among the old ones I'm really happy that it has remained to be a wooden house area.
It has many nice small shops and the Promenade looks nice. I 'd like to go back the on summer.

It was ok don't get me wrong... but it's just a playground with dressed up characters inside... for the price I pay for huge entertainment and amusement parks I expect much more! Just if you are looking to go you will have to pay for every adult and child above 2 (my kid was 2.5) full price... very small place not as the price makes you believe otherwise..
You will be very bored as an adult as really nothing to do except run after your kids!
I love muumit and grew up with them so it's not that I didn't like the park but it's too much to pay for!
We even checked the gift shop inside it was so sad to see fork and spoon that I have bought for my son just 3 days before our trip, they were 9.90€ in the park while in Helsinki I got them for 7.20€ in the shop!
My 2.5 year old was not interested in the theater shows... he only wanted to stay at muumintalo (the main house) and hug characters...
Not recommended for shy or younger than 5 years old kids to avoid feeling that all money waisted standing by muumintalo!

Did not really expect that this castle can be so interesting! Not overcrowded (at least in March), nicely renovated and having supportive and efficient personnel. Wall thickness is impressive!
Bailey gives a hint about everyday life of people in different centuries through well-preserved rooms. Some of them are accessible, others need to be looked through a plexiglass shield. Both experiences are amazing!
Entrance fee is €11 and covers both the main castle and Bailey. Wear something comfortable, you will have to walk up and down a lot!

Healthy & Challenging climbing fun for everyone ages 4 & up! No matter what your background or experience, this is the ideal way to get involved in an activity that's both fun and active. Test your resolve and determination on Inflated, reach new heights on the Skyscraper, take the Speed Climbing challenge or light up the board on the Checkerplate. These are just a few of the climbs we offer.

I was surprised the park is closed in may. I was able to walk to the island with my daughter, and we were allowed to come inside and see all the buildings. It was a wonderful to place to visit while quiet. Inside there are paths leading through woods and along the coast and the nature is great.
Getting out wasn't so easy and I had to climb over a fence at the gate.
Naantali is well worth a visit, it has a very pretty marina and park by the church. To the north west of town, near a bridge, are some fabulous little cliffs that make a good place for a walk on a sunny day.

We spent hours exploring the fascinating shops, workshops, and living spaces in this gem of a living museum. Highly recommended, except for those who have difficulty walking. For them, alas, it is quite inaccessible.

Unfortunately we went to Nantalli on Monday, so the Church was closed. The Church is a majestic structure that dominates the landscape of the old town of Nantalli. The Church's presence makes Nantalli what it is... Good place to hangout.

I have been visiting Turku many times but never visited the museums. This history and modern art museum truly amazed me. Also the museum shop was nice - small but really nice. The cafeteria looked nice sunday afternoon playing jazz. The only down side was that the caffe did not accepted American Express. I so wanted to enjoy class of cava at they nice Terrace but had only amex and museum card. But defenetly if you visit Turku and you love history or art - or just museums - visit here!
