Nice walk on sunny days, about 0.7 km. I would not recommend for people with small children or elderly. It is up the hill and terrain is uneven, many steps. Nice view of Mikulov.

Review is for Hradu Devicky, which from the pictures and location appears to be the same as Divci Hrad. Hiked up in early June. Panoramic views and nice wild flowers. Helps to have someone along who speaks/reads Czech and knows the trails. Continue on the trails to Devin for more panoramas and flowers.

In the Czech Republic's countryside sits Lednice Castle. Not only is it interesting, it also has lovely Gardens and amazing green house containing exotic plants. It also has a minaret -- apparently built by the owner because the local authorities would not let him build what he wanted to build. Definitely worth a visit.

Detouring from our planned route, driving through to Slovakia, we made a quick pit-stop in Mikulov, located near the border crossing. To our pleasant surprise, we discovered an attractive and bustling little city which turned into a serious visit, taking in the impressive Castle and its beautiful Gardens, perched on a hilltop in the center of this spotless and thriving regional capital. We were unable to enter the massive structure but the stroll around the imposing facility was well worth the time, as was the added-value of the beer festival thronging the narrow lanes below the castle, drawing hundreds of visitors from the surrounding areas to the many stalls offering food and delicacies as well as handcrafts for sale. Accustomed to the bucolic pace of life in most of the Czech towns we had already visited, Mikulov was a 'strong breeze' instead of a breath of fresh air and proved to be a highlight of our trip. The town center is a gem of its own and boasts some impressive churches and public buildings too.
Well recommended stop when crossing the country.

It is definitely worth visiting, I came for the last tour when many tourists are out of town - the smaller the group the better you can enjoy the place.

A moving historical site with some interesting pictures. The staff, however, were not sufficiently informed about the history of the Jewish inhabitants in Mikulov and Moravia. They would benefit by some training and history to ensure that the visitors to the Synagogue would learn more about the Jewish life and contribution to central Europe from the late middle ages through to 1945.

Good walk up to the cemetery. The grounds are a little steep. Watch your footing. The old tombstones are sticking and the hilly grounds beautiful and challenging to walk. Ceremonial Hall is educational. Nice shady trees.

It was a really hot day so this looked like a great idea! And it was indeed! This cave is not on of the biggest I have seen but it is really nice and offers a unique specialty that can only be visited here, so go for it. The guide was very friendly and for complete amateurs, a geological park is available. Also, the whole area around provides a nice walk.
