Good service in English. High quality food - had asparagus in pancetta and guyere cheese then gnocchi and veal. Finished with lemon sorbet and chocolate cake. Really well done. Bread comes with the meal- not always the case in Czech Republic. Wine list is small but local in a great way. Love the Moravian wine.

To be honest - I don't remember drinking wine in such marbellous surroundings and atmosphere. It's a must when you are in Mikulov. Even if you have to choose between going to the castle and watching it from Barta ;)We thank you very much and we look forward to your visit.

On late Friday evening "Dobry Rocnik" was like a port after a long journey, pulsating with life on a dark see of the main Mikulov square;). Crowded with happy people, serving great wines, cheese, meats, Deserts. A perfect starting point for a Moravian weekend. They were not strict with the opening hours at all;) and I drank the best Palava there.

You will not find a better meal in Mikulov, and the food was equivalent to a fine restaurant in any major city of the world (at a fraction of the price).
Service was pretty good and the wine list offered some very interesting and delicious choices of Moravian wines.
Highly recommended.

I had the risotto and it was ok, nothing to excited about but good enough. The service was also ok, no English spoken but there was an English menu so all was straightforward. Apparently it is not the season for desserts because there were none.

After the whole day full of hiking across Pálava we headed physically exhausted but emotionally full of energy for the dinner to this restaurant. Our tasty dinner should have been the crowning moment of the sunny day. For this time I was a little bit disappointed. My trout in battle was too crunchy without flavour. Neither salmon was the best... Apparently fish dishes aren’t their specialities. On the other hand, children’s salad with chicken was appetizing.

I visited this restaurant on June 2013. It´s located not so far from the town centre, aprox. 5 minutes of walk (BUT! in Mukulov everything is less than 5 minutes far from the centre). There are lovely Aquariums full of life in the interior, quite new and comfortable furniture and, of course, free wi-fi. Until you ask for anything, it seems well.
When I was there, they were expecting a full bus of turists. Everything was done for them and everyone took care about one huge table and prox. 30 chairs around - no turists have had come when I was there. I had to wait for ten minutes for a waiter. I have asked for a meal and had to wait another 15 minutes until they brought me a DIFFERENT one. And waiting again. I drunk my soft drink and had to wait a looooong time for another. Finally, the meal had come. Quality of meal was average.
When I was leaving waiter seemed to be suprised I gave him no tip :-)
Never again.

We stoped at Kafe Pala because they advertised that they roast their own coffee. And we have to say it was well worth a visi!!! Situated inside the block on a smalk courtyard it's a cozy cafe where you can get good snacks and tasty filter coffee. Highly recommend!!!

We dropped in here during our stay in Mikulov in November 2014. The service was really kind and spoke English with us. Can definitely recommend the pastry as well as the coffee that they prepare.
