Hunter Valley Zoo is a private run zoo supported by its local families and business'. Set among the beautiful Hunter Valley it has 10 acres of land with everything from Native Australian animals to exotic animals such as monkeys and meerkats. The Tatler Hotel opened in 1902. It was at the Tatler Hotel on the 8th of August, 1907 that J.J. Giltinan formalised Australia's first Rugby League Competition. In it's heyday The Tatler Hotel was a favourite haunt of rugby league players, colourful racing identities, popular radio personalities and the creme of Sydney society. For it's last 13 years the Tatler Hotel was owned and operated by the Izakidis family until it finally closed its doors in April 1986. 12 years later the Izakidis resurrected the Tatler name as a new vineyard in the Lovedale region of the Hunter Valley. The tradition continues..... The Tatler Cellar door looks at the majestic Brokenback Range and has a range of 13 wines available for tasting.
