Enzo warmly welcomes you to our charming sandstone restaurant. . . As the story goes, 'enzo' have been established since 1996, yes one of the original cafes in wine country Pokolbin! When there were dirt roads 'n stuff! We are historically known for our alfresco dining and 7 days trade throughout our years! Over the years this once upon a time homestead, home to the Irelands, has expanded and evolved and become home to enzo. Original fittings of the kitchen areas and fireplace still remain untouched. Hand cut sandstone, laid by hand, and the hardwood beams from the wharf of sydney harbour, create the lived-in feel that people return for. We welcome you to our home of dining, celebrating and good times, and ask you to continue to share with us. Enjoy!
We were staying in Pokolbin so went for breakfast before our day of golf. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our choices and such a great setting. The coffee was lovely, staff were very friendly and efficient. Coming from a tourist area we felt the prices a bit high but we noticed the same at the restaurant where we had dinner. The meals were great and got us through the day. Obviously a very popular cafe from the number of patrons. Perfect place to relax and eat. Lyn M

This ultra-popular restaurant (especially with locals who love a long lunch here) serves appetising Mediterranean meals in a relaxed, inviting space. It has a great outdoor courtyard, surrounded by wisteria, with tables shaded by large umbrellas and inside there’s a huge open fireplace in the centre of the room, surrounded by crisp, white-clothed tables and indoor Gardens. Owner/chef Andy Wright offers a seasonal menu using the best Australian produce with regulars returning for popular á la carte dishes like pan-fried barramundi and eight-hour slow-braised Milly Hill lamb or the signature dish – whole suckling pig roast (48 hours’ notice required).
We walked into this reastaurant just before the kitchen was closing. We ordered based on the recommendation of our waitress, a grilled king prawns and a wonderful steak. The wine selection was naturally good being in the middle of the Hunter Valley. The dessert was also wonderful. We enjoyed a very nice service, so if you are in this area, this is the place not to miss!

Modern Australian yet regionally distinctive in style, the menu at Restaurant Botanica is focused on seasonality and freshness, perfectly complemented by an award-winning wine list and stunning views looking out across our private vineyard to the Brokenback Mountain Range. The restaurant's very own kitchen garden is the source of many of the herbs and vegetables that add a wholesome and healthy dimension to the dishes.
Had the signature menu and breakfast the next day here. The attention to detail with the food is very good, staff are friendly and helpful with the menu. We had a lovely table by the window overlooking the vineyards. Nice ambience and a very short walk back to Spicers Retreat which is great if you are staying at the retreat. A lovely romantic dinner.

Muse has become renowned for not only its food but also for its professional and friendly service. Offering a season driven Contemporary Australian menu, the food is fresh and exciting without overcomplicating the ingredients. Using quality produce, sourcing locally whenever possible, the dishes show technique, restraint and respect.
This was the best dinner we had during our 6 week wine and gastronomic tour of Australia and actually by a fair margin. Can't fault it but more to the point it was positively wonderful and no, I am not being swept up in some kind of naive enthusiasm of an unaccustomed fine dining experience in which I was out of my depth. I rate it above Quay, for example. Anyway we had the 4 course dinner with paired wines each choosing a different dish and my, they were excellent in all respects. The service was so chilled, and neither patronising or obsequious, and without an eyelid blink as we arrived in our cycling attire, and we were treated as I would have expected. Best dish ? for me the chicken, polenta and corn, and my jaw dropped when the sommelier produced a Lakes Folly 2017 Chardonnay. And the "coconut" dessert ranks alongside Quay's snow egg in the bonkers but brilliant stakes. One of the few meals which will be a treasured memory for a lifetime. The cost ? who cares.

The food and ambience here are very nice - quite characteristic of the Hunter. It's not a huge menu, but it's tasty and reasonable.

We live locally and love a good breakfast and lunch out. Restaurant Cuvee is one place that we know will provide us with great food and service. Nothing is cheap in the Hunter Valley, but we know at this restaurant we get served decent quantity and great quality food always. The kids meals are good value too and a good size ($12 breakfast which includes juice). The coffee is okay (not as strong as I usually like) but at least it is hot. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit and revisit.

Lunch at Muse Kithcen was one of the highlights of our weekend getaway in Hunter Valley. The food, service and decor is exceptional. There were a good mix of guests from couples like us, to groups of friends and even a hens party group. Everyone was looked after gracefully without a fuss. If anyone is considering Muse Kitchen for lunch, I would say go ahead and make that booking!

Villa du Pays restaurant sits among the spectacular grounds of Leogate Estate. Taking pride in serving you modern Australian cuisine and to compliment your meal, we will be proud to serve you our beautiful Leogate Estate award winning wines.
The service here was impeccable. Their care and thoughtfulness for the whole group of ten adults and 3 children was just incredible. The food was beautifully served, flavour combinations were very good and the portions of mains and sides were generous and delicious. The amuse bouche and Deserts were ridiculously good. The bombe Alaska was the best I have ever had. This establishment specialises in their aged, chargrilled steaks and for me, this was the only negative point. Beautifully cooked to order, however, their signature eye fillet at $52 was more chewy than I would have expected. I have had eye fillets that ate like a knife through butter for a bit less than $52. This point aside - I expect this was more a problem with the meat than the chef- the whole experience was worthwhile and is highly recommended.

Dine under the whimsical luxury of classical chandeliers in the grounds of our Hatted Restaurant and one of Australia’s most picturesque hinterlands. short stroll down the tree-lined driveway is Circa 1876, the Hunter Valley's most iconic restaurant, located in an historic cottage on the picturesque grounds of Roscrea Estate. Circa 1876 showcases some great Hunter Valley wines in an award-winning wine list. Or you can experience the eclectic charm of the Champagne Lounge, with its open fire. Under Trent’s direction, the restaurant has now moved away from a la carte and instead created two-course, three-course, and a five-course chef’s tasting menu options. Highlight dishes include Sesame Crusted Yellow Fin Tuna (Soft Cooked Pullet Egg, Olive Cheeks, Chipotle Aioli, Wasabi Roe, Fresh Garden Greens and Lime); Two Parts Duck (Seared Duck Breast, Slow Cooked Duck Egg, Fresh Black Truffle, Truffle Potato Foam, Asparagus and Jamón); Wagyu 5+ MB rib eye on the bone for two; and a Truffle Crème Brulee Foam (Truffle Honeycomb, Rhubarb, Crème Fraiche Ice cream and House-made Truffle Honey). Circa 1876 quite literally brings the ‘farm to fork’ ethos to life as guests overlook the organic kitchen garden that their food came from just beyond their plate. The delicate fresh quail eggs are also gathered from our onsite Japanese quails. Reservations are recommended. You can book online or Reservations will be happy to arrange it for you. Opening Hours; Open 5 days a week (Friday - Tuesday) Lunch: 12.00pm to 2.30pm Dinner: 5.30pm to 9.00pm
Me and my friend found this lovely restaurant while on a wine tour and immediately booked for that evening.
The decor and style was just beautiful. Very classy. The food, well wow I just don't know what to say. The choices, quality and care given to each dish was impeccable. The service was also brilliant, with excellent wine suggestions for each dish and a detailed summary of each dish and glass/bottle ordered.
Perfect for a romantic meal or a meal with family and friends.
The staff here were very professional and friendly. I couldn't more highly recommend this place. Andre looked after us all evening, he did a fantastic job and you could see the passion he had for his job and Circa 1876.
We loved it and you will too!
I also got to try Emu for the first time
