Although the water visibility was not good,it was as indicated on the website. The service of the staff, particularly Vicky was great. Vicky took my daughter for the DSD starter experience and really looked after her. Myself,my daughter and Vicky were grouped together for the actual dive and Vicky instilled confidence. Many thanks to Warda and team fora great morning.

Sometimes known as the "Lucky Temple", this Buddhist stoupa, school and shrine is everything that you can imagine - colourful, bewildering statues, amazingly well maintained with a vast amount of gold leaf / paint. Overlooking all this is, on the nearby cliff is carved into the solid rock face a likeness some 30 foot high of the Buddha.
Serene, peaceful and quite enchanting, but ultimately quite confusing to those uninitiated.
Well worth a visit and to my mind one of the highlights of Langkawi.

in general is similar to the 3D Museum at the Oriental Village (the cable car/hanging bridge).
good family fun, make sure your camera has enough battery and storage space.
evenings have less crowd, but you'll be rushed to cover the area before closing time. plan for at least a couple of hours, and you'll be able to cover at a leisurely pace, provided not too crowded and waiting in Q to snap photos.

Friendly staff, quite large gym, well-maintained equipment, good price for single-entrance. Was about to deduct one star for non-existent air-condition...but hell, this is the tropics, prepare to sweat like a beast and be cleansed!!

323 ringets for green fees, buggy and compulsory insurance. (This has to be paid on all Malasian courses -apparently elderly Asian golfers regularly have heart attacks while playing!). I had my own clubs and shoes so the cost will be more if you need rentals. And this was the midweek rate. You could save 90 ringets by opting to walk the course instead but at this time of year the humidity is a killer.
The course is quite picturesque, the back 9 more so than the front. 10-18 handicappers should go from the blue tees if you want to avoid a driver-wedge round. The back 9 is trickier, more water in play and some thought required.
Downsides are that the course only has a scorecard in meters. No GPS or yardages in the buggy or sprinkler heads. Greens were slow and heavily sanded. There are no outlets for drinks on the course; you have to call in the clubhouse at the 10th or 14th tees. No complimentary water, cool boxes or tees come with the buggy.
Upsides are that the course is enjoyable, picturesque and above all, empty. I hit two balls on most holes and didn't see another sole on the course.

A beautiful beach with casuarina trees as the prime vegetation, as opposed to the other rainforest-lined Beaches elsewhere. The jumping point for most of the mangrove activities on the island can be found here. It is best visited by romantics who wish to escape the crowded beach of Pantai Cenang, as the a stroll there can remind you of that Leonardo DiCaprio movie, The Beach =)

Good variety of clothing, jewelry, cosmetics & decor. Reasonable prices and helpful staff. Chocolate selection is fantastic too.
