The road leading to the farm is slightly winding and narrow. We didn't expect to see many people going to such a place which was on the outskirt of Tokyo but we were wrong. When we reached there, the car parks were crowded.
Prior to going there, we bought the entrance fee at special rate of 1350 yen at Lawson convenience store or one can even purchase them at other convenience stores.
We, a family with 2 teenage sons have much fun going round the farm to see the capybara, horses, rabbits, sheep, goats, ostrich, etc; amusement park with even a bungy jump; souvenir shops, shops selling foodstuff like cheese, milk, yogurt, ice cream, etc and BBQ stall of sausages and pork was yummy. There are pig and duck races too. So much to see, eat, enjoy and fun, half a day is not enough. Each season has its own attractions and beauty with the flowers blooming. We couldn't wait till 4.45pm for the full lights illumination as we have to get to the airport.

The ropeway station is located about a 10 minute walk from Hamakanaya Station (head out of the station and go straight until you see the main road by the water, turn left and walk until you see the large ropeway billboard and bear left).
The fee is 500 yen for a single trip up (or down) or 930 yen return. As I hadn't at the time considered returning from Nokogiri to Hota station by foot, I purchased a round trip ticket. Next time, I would purchase a single trip and start or finish with the ropeway.
The cable cars operate every 10 minutes and there was a reasonable number of commuters on a Saturday (you may have to wait for the next car). As each car can fit about 30 people, you may not get the best view on the ropeway which is a shame because it is magnificent. Each trip up or down takes about 5 minutes.

A slightly odd attraction, located on a mountain top overlooking Tokyo Bay, Tokyo Wan (Bay) Kannon is worth a visit for those visiting the southern Boso area of Chiba Prefecture or for those just looking for an unusual less traveled attraction.
Tokyo Wan (Bay) Kannon, the Buddhist goddess of mercy, stands 20 stories tall and commands a stunning view of Tokyo Bay. On a clear day the grounds offer one of the most beautiful views of Mt. Fuji, Tokyo Bay/Uraga sea passage, and sunsets over the Miura Peninsula.
Completed in 1961, the Kannon was build as a symbol of world peace. The giant statue can be entered for a fee of 500 yen, and a narrow circular staircase leads all the way to the top of the stature, a total of 324 steps. Along the way are alters to assorted deities, including the 7 gods of happiness.
The grounds also have a small restaurant and shop, serving light food and drinks.
Operating hours for the stature and visitor centre are 0800-1600 and the facilities close at 1700. Its ok to stay on the grounds later to see the sunset.
The closest station is Sanuki on the Uchibo line. Its a short 2km taxi ride to the Kannon. By car, its located close to the Futtsu Chuo exit of the Tateyama Expressway and is easily reached from the Tokyo Bay Aqualine bridge-tunnel.
Its best to combine a visit to Tokyo Wan Kannon with a visit to Nokogiriyama and the Tokyo Wan Ferry, located further down the Uchibo line towards Tateyama.

Situated in Kanaya (JR Hama-Kanaya Station) in Futtsu, Chiba Prefecture. The park is laid out along the bay area and is the ferry terminal as well. The park offers wonderful views over the Tokyo bay where one can see large ships passing by and the wonderful cloud formations over the bay. There is a large market area and some food joints as well.
It is a 15 minute walk from the JR Hama-Kanaya station on the Uchibo Line.
