Follow the signs from the car park to the Musee, and you will find an amazing mini town inside the fortress. This is well worth a few hours to explore the whole of the fortress, especially the walls.

It's not easy to find but it's worth it when you do. This Labyrinthe and Ferme complex were really good fun for our very young family.
You enter the farm in the games area where there are lots of traditional games mixed with other modern thrills such as trampolines, slack lines and a zip wire. A point of note is that most of these activities are aimed at the over 6 age group although thankfully due to the relatively quiet day we visited (a Sunday) our 2 year old was able to enjoy most of the activities.
There are two price points for entry. One is €9 for adults which includes games area, animals and also the main Labyrinthe. The €6 price excludes the main event. The reason for the extra cost is due to the live action actors who give support to you in the largest of the mazes.
We did not manage to convince our child to leave the games area so we missed the start time for the main maze however this was not a problem as we had great fun in the games area, the animals and two smaller mazes.
Make sure to bring a picnic - there are lots of tables in the games area and this helps avoid the pretty expensive cafe (300ml water = €2).
Also beware of the sun. There isn't a lot of shaded areas and you are fairly exposed in the mazes and you are concentrating on other things! Conversely there is not much going on indoors so this is not a great rainy day activity.
Well worth a visit especially if you have children 6 and up.

Spread over 12 acres of forest in an unspoilt environment, Adrénature lets you manoeuvre your way around magnificent trees that soar up as high as 35 metres. For 2017 there are 2 new trails, making a total of 11 fun and varied routes with different levels of difficulty, thanks to 160 games: hanging Bridges, 1000m of zipwires including the Mega-Zipwire that’s 220m long, balance challenges and more. Brilliant climbing experience with several different coloured trails for ages 3 and up. Climbing, traversing, zip wires, tree climbs.. all exhilarating and some not for the faint hearted !
We started on the blues (for ages 8+), then up to orange and red and finally violet for over 16's.
All were good and challenges increased as you progressed up the colour chart. as a family we did the blues, orange and red. Our 15 year old does climbing / mountaineering so he did the over 16 course (we did ask and they watched him on the other courses to check his ability)
It was tough especially as it has an easy start before you get round to the 25m tree climb where you have to change carabiner half way up! His tip was, yes he would do it again but he would do as much before it as just before the end are monkey bars and your energy levels are already wrecked without that!
Drinks are available on site to buy but not food, so bring a picnic
Without a shadow of a doubt one of the highlights of our three weeks in Brittany - Definitely if you are staying anywhere within an hours drive or so, make this one of your must do activities.
Oh, and watch directions, the co-ordinates on literature aren't correct as they take you to the back of the park, but the entrance the other side. Head through Melgven and Take the D44 (route du stade, then route du Pont Aven) and it will be signposted on hand side less than 1km from village centre.

An untouched part of history, encapsulating how the whole region used to be. You get houses like this all over Brittany, but here they are not surrounded (at least not in the village) by newer buildings and so it really feels as though you have gone back 100 years. Inspirational!

Pony Aven is a beautiful, quaint and bustling port town. It is clearly a popular spot with tourists but not overun. There is a great selection of shops, eateries, art galleries, museum and picturesque sights. The town is filled with a river running out via the small fishing port. There are a small number of boats and the river was teeming with fish (trout I think). There was a large antique market on the Monday on the Quay. Beautiful place with great character.

This was close to our campsite and we came here every day that the the temperatures went beyond 20 degrees!
A truly lovely beach with freezing cold water. Although if you actually get into the water and move about you can find hot spots. Glittering rocks and stones make it really special

Whilst not the biggest soft play, it does manage to pack a lot in. The usual climbing and slides etc but with a trampoline and large lego type blocks (each one about 30cm long!)
Food microwaved but enjoyed by our three kids.
Entry prices reasonable, we'd go again on a wet day.
