Having family who live nearby we have been frequenting Concarneau over many years and this small quaint family run creperie just off the road that runs alongside the port, remains a favourite. From the familiar warm friendly welcome from the owner - who makes all the crepes herself - to the quick efficient service ensures you hardly wait for your delicious crepes to arrive. There is wide selection of Crêpes de Blé Noir (savoury) and Crêpes de Froment (sweet); favourites include the creamed mushroom, goats cheese and tomato; and my son's cheese, ham, tomato and chorizo one was truly decicious. All washed down with tasty local cider before moving onto the sweet crêpes. Very good value. It is now possible to reserve a table which for a small restaurant may be necessary in the high season if you wish to avoid disappointment.

Parked up in the main car park and walked along the front. Spotted this little place and stopped off for a mid morning snack and drink. What a delight! Coffee was lovely and the crepes well Tres Bien! Beautiful and lots of choice

Good, fresh pizzas to take away. Service was very friendly. Many of the options on the menu are quite similar but they're very tasty pizzas nonetheless. Worth visiting if you want a quick dinner.

Great food, chef didn't hesitate to use fresh herbs and spices. Breton food with a twist - what a pleasant surprise ! staff was great.

We visited the Kervastard twice during our recent holiday as it both suited our family and the food was great. Too few creperies offer grill options on the menu which makes it difficult as our younger children don't enjoy Galettes. That is not the case here where you can choose from an extensive menu of Galettes, crepes and grill options.
The food is fresh, hot and tasty. The service is pleasant. And most importantly the place is frequented by the locals which is always a good sign. As a result booking is essential as we found out, typically at least 24 hours ahead. That said, they only book for 1st sitting so if you can go after 8:30pm it is possible to get a table.

Marinated tuna with a few croutons, very tasty and clearly fresh. Salmon with a crème fraiche on the side. Farm chicken good flavoured. Tournados good sized flavoursome. Roast potatoes and simple veg.
The food is plain but top quality and harks back to simple dishes that are being resurrected in some places. If you are wanting some weird experience with a sparkler on top, you won't find it here.
Chez Hubert is well presented in terms of décor and seems popular with all age groups, locals and tourists.

For me good, and worth improvement at the same time.
Plus: kitchen really good, setting beautiful, above average interior.
Minus: staff needs more training, menu seems not to change (looks like printed for eternity) & no daily menu, no bread plates, no butter offered, portions smallish, all served on small plates or soup plates. Lacks generosity. Wine list needs improvement.
I feel sorry as potential for one star Michelin is there.

We arrived at 6pm in the evening and it was totally empty. By 7pm they were turning people away at the door.
The crepes are really good. we ate both sweet and savoury.
I had ham, cheese, onion and egg. The waiter asked me if i want the egg on top or inside. I said on top not really understanding and was very surprised to receive a crepe with a raw yolk on top. At first it worried me but then i realised the heat of the crepe was actually cooking the egg. It was very tasty.
The salted caramel and apple crepe was the best i have ever eaten.
We had a very enjoyable meal here and the service was excellent and very reasonably priced.

This is effectively a tapas bar, with larger portions, or at least that is how we viewed it.
The waitress couldn't have been more helpful and sorted out foods from the menu that would be allowed with certain intolerances.
Everything was delicious and I and my family were very happy diners !
