A brilliant introductory course as a small group. The instructor, Jonny Raw, was funny, relaxed, and catered for a wide range of abilities excellently. By the end of the day most of the group were well on the way to parallel skiing from laughable beginnings. If you want to go for a course, I'd recommend trying to get Jonny (I think you can state a preferred instructor).

This us an event we go to annually as a family.. kids enjoy the racing and they even have a little punt on the horses... only downside is the fast food vans and stalls they are really overpriced and you dont get a lot for your money and £4.50 for a beer in a plastic cup makes it an expensive family outing..
But we always like to attend these local events but good job they arent every week...

Wacky in the sense I was not sure if we were in someone's private quarters. Weird because I could not work our who did what for whome. Wonderful because the bacon and egg butty was wonderful. So was the egg mayo sarni and the scone and the cake and the tea and the coffee. Truly , it should not work , but it does! I reckon a secret genius who will take over the world soon runs this.
Don't listen to me or the wife. Just come and see for yourself .

what an amazing place! We had a fantastic afternoon here for the fund raising adoption day. We went with the intention of adopting a Donkey for a Christmas gift. What an amazing present to have. Each Donkey has a very very sad story but what beautiful lives they will live now. Gorgeous inside area with log burner fire where you can have something to eat and drink. No one can do enough for you here. Everyone is just absolutely lovely and they are there for the same reason we we were- the gorgeous Donkeys. I fell in love with and adopted Rolo who looks like a big beautiful Teddy Bear. We are taking our 7 year old back soon to adopt another Donkey. Definitely worth a visit and I bet you want to go back again. Thank you to all at Wonky Donkey for doing what you do x

It's great for walks, bird spotting, seeing much wildlife and plants. I summer there are activities like pond dipping for children. The have Halloween activities too. It's just a nice place to walk around and spend a couple of hours. The little shop has a coffee machine and some Seating. There are loos too I believe. Parking is free for blue badge holders and RSPB members. Not sure how much is it for others, £2 I think.

The extended facility, though excellently planned (and a bit quirky - Heather's design features?) it could become noisy and echoed. This most recent visit, latest of many, even though the place was busy, the noise levels were lower. Excellent food, great quality, very good value, friendly efficient staff. Great venue for lunch. Intend to try evening, soon

Thank you for a great day out very professionally run, staff were really friendly and always happy to help. Also if a guy called Jessie is there you won't him on your team as his gun fires paintballs very quick ?

The shops never improve here, the wrong type of shops, needs to be more like York designer outlet. Or even make into a full price high street shopping village with names like Warehouse, Oasis, Boots, Zara, New Look & a few decent bars like Browns or All Bar One. Take a good look at Bicester this could be just as good if it’s going to stay discounted.

Being from Pontefract I’ve known the castle in it’s neglected state. Yes, there are restoration works going on but at least we know something is being done! The visitors centre is great, the dungeon tour was excellent and the cafe is brilliant. The staff in the visitors centre, tour and especially the cafe were so friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely be visiting once the restoration works are finished
