ASK Italian in Castleford is a place for great food and warm service. Think fresh bread made to tear and share. A glass of fine wine worth deserving of your time. Delicious main dishes prepared the traditional way. Everything we know and love about Italian food is served straight to your table. Take a look at our Castleford menu and, if you like what you see, book a table.
Service was appalling. What was supposed to be a quick dinner with family turned into over 3 hours. By the time our food arrived we’d forgotten what we ordered. Our meals arrived at different times meaning some of us finished before other dishes had arrived otherwise would have all gone cold. Food average at best. Very disappointed as had to keep chasing and asking for service. Don’t understand really as the restaurant wasn’t even that busy. Avoid if you’re in a rush.

We came as a group of 6 spanning 3 generations.
This family run restaurant were welcoming from the start. They drink and food choices were amazing. They even shelled my prawns for me on the king prawn starter (which was amazing)!
Would highly recommend the steak tagliatelle. It’s a cliche to suggest pizza but they do them so well!
We had a lovely evening - just what we all needed.
My only criticism if I had to put one was that it was a tad chilly in there - so wear a jumper! But the warmth of the staff made up for it.

The New Wheatsheaf in Castleford Carvery - Bar Meals & A La Carte Restaurant. We are a family owned and run bar and restaurant, with a strong belief in using the freshest local produce, for over 25 years, we have been catering for the people of Castleford and far beyond, offering a vast range of choice from simple, traditional pub food to our fantastic carvery menu using the best British produce.
This is the first time I have visited here, the restaurant was very busy, this did not detract from, very good warm food. All served by very pleasant staff, in a welcoming environment. Worth another visit.

I've been and had Xmas day lunch here today, and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had poppadoms, starters, mains and dessert and what a treat it was. Staff were welcoming and efficient, we were promptly seated and our order taken. The decor is modern and comfortable. We took our own wine as it is not licensed but that's not a problem. I would deffo recommend this place

Zoe, Wade and the team wish you a warm welcome to The White Horse, Ledston. A charming 15th century pub offering a warm and inviting atmosphere every time. Serving great traditional British food, our menu is designed daily with seasonal ingredients and great quality produce we get through our local suppliers. We also serve real cask ales, craft beers, an extensive fine wine list with bottles from all around the world and a great range of spirits with our own speciality gin range. With roaring fires, and a pleasant outside Seating area you are guaranteed a pleasant dining experience. We are family friendly and that includes well behaved four legged friends. We look forward to seeing you soon.
Having been snowed in we decided to pay the White Horse a visit today for lunch. As always there was no disappointment. From the warm welcome, to the prompt service and beautifully cooked food there was nothing not to like! This is a regular for us and, as someone who eats out a lot on business, it's fast become our favourite. It's fantastic to see how this phoenix has risen from the ashes under it's new management. The menu changes regularly and the food, wine and cask ales are always a delight to sample...so many places fail to get all elements right but this place has it right, including the staff. My only regret is that we don't have more opportunities to visit...we must try harder!

We are a small, friendly, American diner style cafe serving delicious homemade dishes. Our quiches and paninis are renowned in the area as are our fabulous cakes and pastries, all handmade by French owner, Richard. Snacks include bacon and/or sausage sandwiches, fruit teacakes and a fabulous selection of homemade fruit or cheese scones. Our special blend of coffee brings customers from miles around and receives daily compliments from all nationalities. Fancy a cold drink? Why not try our frappes or healthy yet delicious smoothies, the ever popular thick shake (huge choice of flavours - all colour and additive-free) or one of our chocolate bar shakes. All available to take-out also.
This place is a bit off the beaten track, down a side ginel, but it's worth it. Decent tea and coffee and breakfast items in a nice setting.

Had lunch with a few friends on the way to rugby. It was Saturday and very busy so glad we had booked. We were served promptly, food was delicious and the staff were really
on the ball with topping up our drinks, we didn’t even have to ask once.
Good device and food, definitely worth a trip. Just a shame we don’t have one in hull!
