Ordered a take away and unfortunately we will not be doing so again.
Mint yogurt not minty. Mango chutney lacking in flavour.
Onion bhaji's cold not at all crispy. Mains very oily. Naan ok but not great. A shame seeing as there is so many good reviews.

Traditional Turkish & Mediterranean
Used as a base to discuss upcoming holiday destination. Booked nice and early on Saturday evening. Booked 11 of us. Warm welcome on arrival where we tucked into some Efes :)
We did decide beforehand on the set menu, but after seeing the proper menu we decided on that instead. I went for 2 starters as couldn’t decide.
The venue has had an upgrade since our last visit. It’s list it’s Med appeal and thought the portions were smaller. But I was more than full afterwards.
Between us we had a great choice from the menu. Kids were happy and parents even more so.
Staff were attentive and catered for our wishes. Love the place and venue. We always seem to go here after a Mediterranean holiday. This time was to plan one.
Worth a visit and showing off to friends and family who have never visited.
Thanks guys.

This restuarant is under new management as of this year, the previous owner ran it in to the ground, we have been and it is lovely, deserves to be reviewed under its current management. The website I believe is under construction. The restaurant is listing in Yell.
The visit was excellent and our second was not a let down. The quality of the food was superb quality and the waiting staff gave very good service The menu was well presented with a good choice of dishes

The Hidden Gem down West End Launton. Not to be confused with the Bull Inn at the crossroads! We are a traditional village pub with a 22 seater restaurant area. We provide freshly cooked food to order with an Italian & English offering. We also have aunt sally pitches. We have cask marque for our real ales of which one is a guest ale and traditional Ale and Tribute are our standard ales.We also have good parking, a large patio area and outside bar for functions. Food serving times MON, WED, THURS & FRI 12 - 2.30 P.M 6 P.M - 9 P.M SAT 12 - 9 P.M SUN 12 - 5.45 P.M
Our first visit, hidden down a side street in a small housing estate, first impressions are of a characterful pub, which was confirmed on entry. A husband and wife team who have been here for 5 years, he is of Italian heritage so a menu heavy on pasta.
I love cider and here we had three different expressions of Thatchers, excellent. As with the current trend a small but strong focus on a Gin menu pleased my wife, not quite the Angel but positive. The menu looked very strong, spoilt for choice, and a specials board. We chose a Pasta with spicy sausage, and a veal from the specials board weighing in at a hefty £19, so expecting perfection. Chips were on the main menu so ordered mine with chips. My wife's pasta was acceptable although for £12 it wasn't a wow, however my veal arrived filled with pate, and a lovely brandy and cream sauce getting excited, However the veal was way overcooked, struggled to cut it and the chips were, sorry ! disgusting soggy pile of yuk, smelt and tasted of oil, it's a challenge to get good chipping potatoes in July so why are home cooked chips on the menu, use good quality frozen ones until the new crop is available. Due to the high price I had to send the meal back, the owner appeared didn't seem to happy but was very professional, although knew how poor the chips were when he sent them out Why !!!
We were offered a free drink whilst waiting on a recook with sautéed potatoes, I accepted but my wife was driving and by this time finished her meal. The replacement was better and I ate it, but still not the tender cut I associate with pan fried veal, and of course in reality we watched each other eat, not the point of dining out. The waitress was excellent and kept us engaged whilst waiting, a lovely girl. The owners wife who was extremely chatty until we sent one dish back, didn't even say goodbye to us even though she was right by us, however our waitress was extra friendly in her goodbye. Top tip, remove chips from choices in the summer or use frozen, and have deep pockets the trend around Bicester for ridiculous pricing continues to grow, you can go to the Nutree ay Murcott and have a Michelin pub meal during the week for similar or less money

We ordered a takeaway from Shakil's after Reading the good reviews on here and we were not disappointed! Food was about an hour wait but was worth it. Food was fresh and tasted amazing! Delivery driver was very polite and friendly also! Will 100% be ordering / going in again

Service was slow to start but did pick up eventually and food was of reasonable standard but I came away just feeling slightly under whelmed after all if the recommendations from friends. There was certainly nothing wrong with this place but it just didn’t really impress and it could have offered so much more.

Jacobs Plough offers some of the best, innovative and creative dishes, using Aubrey Allen meats, Jimmy Butlers Pork and fish fish from Brixham on a daily basis. With an extensive wine list, fantastic spirit selection and guest ales, there is nothing not to tempt everyone though the doors. With a sunny courtyard that is prefect for alfresco sipping.
Went here frustrated with a long day to have a short notice dinner with my wife. We got lucky with Thursday’s half price prosecco. The cauliflower soup was great, served with nice bread and flavourful butter. My wife enjoyed the lamb burger, and marrow-anise and chips were sooo rich and delicious. One problem was the chicken bacon Caesar salad. It might have been “deconstructed”, but whole anchovies were just not right. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. We will be back.

The best panini I've had in Bicester and my husband enjoyed his well made baguette too. Lived here over 2 years and never visited this place but am wishing we'd found it sooner!
